The one with birthday pics

~ We wore our new mommy and daughter matching outfits. bought it at Purple candy. really nice. I asked mom in law to make tons of this design. hehe.

~ It was Neyo's first time at Starbucks. grabe, 1month old baby spending the evening at starbucks! cool!

~ Simone and Justin had fun in starbucks. I notice that Simone loves to go there. as in feeling nya playground nya. I guess it's the smell of coffee that makes her hyper. haha.

~ Grannies had a time to catch up. I'm glad we had coffee pa after dinner kasi dun yung kwentuhan talaga. And my dad in law even told me that he had a very good night sleep that night. nakapag unwind kasi. :)

~ Oliver and Jane were stuck in traffic but they managed to eat double time to get the most out of the buffet

~ Simon and Ate Maru were kind enough to let me eat three plates! hahaha. i really stuffed myself. di nila pina-alaga sa ken si simone so each of them were only able to finish one serving lang. ahehe. thanks beh!

The one with wishlist given

If you remember in my previous post, I wrote down a short wishlist of what i wanted for my birthday, and i'm so happy two of those were given to me. The NikonD40 is such a thrill to use. I'm not so much of a gadgety person but I need a more decent camera to help me take better pictures of our decors. And i'm just glad that my husband bought me one. We were choosing between a Canon camera and this one, i'm glad we chose nikon.

The book that i wanted was ordered already, it's always out of stock the reason why i had to order it online. So there, two out of three. Well, the house and lot would have been a great gift too (haha) but i'm sure it will come and God will give us one soon :)

I had a small celebration with my family and Simon's. It was a good evening. We had buffet at Don Henrico's and capped the evening with coffee at Starbucks. We had a good time catching up, chatting and showing off how active our babies are. hahaha. Simone and Justin kept on running around Starbucks like they own the place. hahaha.

I got less number of greetings this year. I don't know if it had something to do with my shrinking circle of friends or that i did'nt treat anyone this year. hahaha. but it's really no biggie. Surprisingly too, I became less and less affected about it. I was greeted by my family and my closest friends and it's more than enough.

Thank you Lord for another year and the journey that continues for the years to come. :)

The one with 2 years and a half

August is always a special month for us and Simone turned 2 years old and 6 months. Time really, really flies so fast and I just could'nt imagine that a year from now, she will go to school already. waah!

She speaks english and tagalog. She answers to conversations. She answers to three questions in a row and these are'nt boxed questions.

She's very much of an achie to Justin and Neyo. Last night, Justin accidentally bit her and she cried so loud but she did'nt throw a hand at justin nor did she get angry at him. katuwa.

She loves to imitate people, what they say, when people sing and she can remember tunes like the back of her hand.

She still loves cars, live animals, balls. I would'nt surprised if one day she'll ask for truck accessories to go with her toys in her playroom. hahaha. But she's all girl don't worry.

The one with it's not as bad

I turned 30 last august 20. (oh, which reminds me, have to change the number on the upper left of this page, harhar) anyway, it was not as awful as i thought it was. I was able to watch an episode from Friends where they all turned 30 and it was so funny I watched it on the eve of my bday. And on some parts, I was able to identify with them when they said that turning 30 makes you sad because you're not in your 20's anymore and that you have to live your life seriously.

My achie asked me how i felt, i said it was ok. and then she followed with, "may family ka na kasi e." siguro nga that's how it is. but whatever the reason, im just sad i can't say twenty plus anymore. just like when i turned 20 when i can't say the word "teen" at the end of my age. hahaha. it's a new chapter, a new phase in my life which i'm excited to journey in :)

And since my metabolism will be slower than before, need those fat burner supplements ASAP. hahaha.

The one with she walked

Last Aug. 1, we had a very busy schedule. I had three parties that day plus a wedding to attend to. I could not miss this wedding as our baby was one of the flower girls. When Onin (the groom) asked us for Simone to be one of the flower girls, we kept on telling them not to expect so much as she's just 2 years old. Out of all the weddings I attended and organized before, the youngest flower girl that i saw walked the aisle was 3 years old. And everybody was telling me to dress in motiff too as I may have the greater chance of accompanying my baby, if we're lucky enough that she'll march.

When we tried the gown on her, she was throwing tantrums already, as in she did'nt want it on her. kaloka! so we thought, "yeah, she won't walk..." after about ten minutes, she got tired of crying and attempting to take off her gown that she stopped and got used to it. Her gown was made by my mom in law, of course. and mind you, she made it in three days lang. hahaha. cool!

So there, while we were in line, she suddenly asked for crackers. and i was, "oh no! if i can't give her the crackers, she will sure throw tantrums" i was trying to call maru but she can't pass since the march started already. and then i told simone, "you know, the crackers are with daddy. you go to daddy and get the crackers" and then voila, she marched! her walk was slow, and she even stopped in the middle, as if knowing what she was doing. She was all-smiles and very behaved holding her basket with her two little hands. hay. im just one proud mom. I saw some cellular phones being taken out and taking some shots of her as she was really a cutie having to walk all by herself.

I love you baby and daddy and mommy are just so proud!

The one with a full life

Everybody's talking about her. Almost all blogs i surf are about how they are all touched with her passing and of her life. And yes, she may have gone up to where she truly belongs, but hopefully, we will always remember the legacy she left....democracy.

In every Filipino life, one has to experience a President's passing. In our case, it was that of Cory's. I may be alive during Marcos or Ninoy's death but since i was just 3 or 4 then, I had no idea of what happened (yeah, you do the math. hehe) And it makes my heart leap and it gives me chill and goosebumps having to see what Filipinos did on their farewell for the most-loved president. A part of me, i should confess, felt shame of not being able to be there in person to experience it first hand. But i prayed for her and the country. I prayed for what will happen in the future. I had mixed emotions. There was fear, hope, love stricken for the Philippines and sadness. I felt really sad and found myself with a bucket of tears for the family she left. I had to cry over and over while watching Kris last speech for her mom and I remembered my mom. I was reminded of how we should always take the time to tell our parents that we love them, to take care of them and always make sure that they feel happy and that they live a full life.

A lot of Filipinos were awakened with their Filipino blood. A lot of us felt the fire of that democracy she fought for. And beinga true Filipino, it is our responsibility now to continue what has been started. To live, in every way we can, the Filipino way...and that is freedom.

To you Tita Cory, thank you. I thank God for your life. I thank God that more than a leader, you were a mother to us all. Salamat.

The one with missing in action

Yes, I'am missing in action for almost a month already. I have so many stories to tell and to be excited about but I can't find the right timing to do so. yikes! But i can't complain. I don't have the right to complain. God is good and I'm sure it's just a matter of prioritizing things and time management and everything will be pretty back in shape (err, i'll get used to it...)

I seldom talk about partyboosters here since this is my family blog but can i just say that I'm so grateful that God blesses us with clients and I mean, it's really overwhelming. I know you'd hear this on awards night, but really, "I never expected this." hahaha. and siguro nga it's true, that you set your expectations low but you exert your best effort. It has always been true to me. When I started Partyboosters last year, I never, never expected that we'll have events on a weekly basis and not just one party but on the average of four parties over a weekend. When I share it to my husband and my friends, nakakakilig lang coz I know it's God's favor. Parang dati, happy nako to have one party sa isang buong weekend. hahaha. and now, nakakatuwa that there are bookings up to March of next year already. hahaha.

Although looking at the other side of it, it's also building stress and pressure on me. Before I'd have more time surfing the net, updating my multiply and answering to clients' emails. now, i barely have time for a decent manicure. As much as possible, I don't want my quality time with my simone to suffer and I mean that. Mawalan nako ng "me" time, that's ok. But I can never lessen the time i spend with my daughter, even if she had to go with me during set-ups and meetings, I don't mind. hehehe, that's what we actually do now. :) But like what i shared to a client and some of my bestfriends, I don't want to be burn out. That's why I had to decline some clients already for some dates this month. It's my birthday month and I want to enjoy the most of it, for crying out loud. Pilitin ko talaga mag bakasyon, promise! If only an apatrim can also lessen my stress and not just my weight. hahaha.

More kwentos to share on my next posts...

The one with achie

Last June 26 was the birthday of our achie, the eldest of the Tan siblings. To my embarrassment, I almost forgot about her birthday. well, i was still able to greet her in the morning but my mom in law reminded me about it pa. yikes! bad!

We treated our achie for an Ultra 7 cinema experience. We watched Transformers 2. For a while, I had second thoughts about it since she's not a fan. she does'nt even know who the characters are. hahaha. but when she said it's ok, we got excited pa rin. Unfortunately, even if we watched it on a monday, we only got two seats for the reservation so simon had to watch it on another cinema 30 minutes later from our showing time. hehe.

Ultra 7 experience is really one of my best cinema experiences. I've always loved Eastwood but this cinema gives me the best service ever. :) There are only 60 people who can watch at a certain showing time, there are lazy boys situated by two's with a very good distance from each other so that when you recline the lazy boy, you won't hit the head of the one in front of you. haha. you just need to raise your hand if you want more popcorn or drinks. winner! unlimited popcorn and drinks for the whole duration of the movie. Gosh! Service deluxe to the fullest! I think the only thing missing were alarm systems on every lazy boy so that you just need to press it and someone will immediately attend to you. hahaha. abuso!

After the movie, we were happy that achie enjoyed it, as in. she's kinda picky kasi on cinemas and she really enjoyed the ambiance and the service. more yey! unknowingly, she felt that we always spoil her on her birthday and it will always be something unique and first-time experience for her. Last year, we treated her kasi for a lea salonga Cinderella stage play, our first time too. i think it's just our subconscious way of making her feel that was want to thank her for being always there to support us and guide us and for always being our achie :)

The one with updates

It's been a while since my last update about our family. Simone has learned her numbers from 1 to 40. She's memorized the Barney song and can sing the same song over and over during car rides. as in, she never gets tired of it. katuwa. it's like a loop in an ipod, haha. Other songs that she sings a lot are twinkle, twinkle, row, row your boat, where is pinky? and many more.

I and my husband are currently overworked. harhar. I'm not sure if what we do have peak and off seasons but definitely this month is one of the peak seasons. He has so many deadlines to meet, I have events to attend to. I cannot believe that July 19 is my most number of bookings to date. waah! to think that i turned down two clients already. nyahaha. don't ask how many, it makes me nervous. hahaha. i plan to hibernate starting monday next week to prepare for the events. But of course, we will never forget to treat ourselves right so we reserved two tickets for Boyz to Men concert on July 21. yahoo! im giddily excited! it's a relief that they will hold it on a weeknight. so much better that way! I'm just waiting for the call from ticketnet. I can't wait! hehe.

Going back to us being overworked. Well, we're not really overworked as we still get up late (but sleep late too) and has more control of our time still. So no need to complain. hehe. I think it's the fact that we are more motivated now to work harder since we are saving up for one of our wishlists and since we are now debt-free (im so proud!) as in credit card, zero balance! wahoo! it's so much easier to save now compared before. We just hope the goal amount that we want to target this year will become a reality. haha. so far, we're halfway there. trabaho lang ng trabaho! hahaha. But Florida vacations might be a good dream too, dont you think? *wink*

The one with blabbering

I'm such a blabber-mouthed when it comes to dieting and those sorts. And i can't get it off my system. I just can't find the right motivation to push myself on getting a more pleasing bod. And yet, I keep on complaining and writing about it, despite me of not doing anything about it too. haha, the irony of life. I even surfed on some sites about dieting and i came across an ephedra product that has been banned for quite some time dues to the controversy it was involved with. It got me a little scared but nothing's been proven yet and why will i be scared, i have'nt even tried it! hahaha. funny me!

oh well, no complaints...all is well...if i just learn how to stop eating. hahaha.

The one with catching up

Yesterday was my godson's baptism. Vince is the firstborn of Jannet and Richard and I, of course, took charge of the venue decors. Albeit some last-minute stress, I can still say that everything went well. One thing I noticed lang is that it's so much different pala when your clients are your friends and/or family. hahaha. But I love what I do, so it's something that im sure i'll get accustomed with.

We were'nt able to chat and catch up so we decided to have an early breakfast this morning to spend more time catching up. It was a good girl time at Jannet's place. They're currently based in Bulacan now that's why the opportunity to be together again can't be missed out. We talked about motherhood, house plans, our dreams for our families, how hard it is to budget and of course, the never ending diet plans. hahaha. I even asked them where to buy nuphedra but of course, a healthy way of dieting is still the best option.

Thanks girls for a wonderful time. hope to see you again soon! :)

The one with long hair

Yes, i have'nt cut my hair since august of last year when i had it rebonded. I fear that if i cut it, the straight, long hair effect will last, aka. magtatampo. and my long hair has reached below the bra line, ahehe. in fairness, the long hair makes an illusion that i'm losing weight, when in fact, i can't even button my jeans, hahaha. I always tell myself that I will try to lose weight tomorrow but nothing happened for the last couple of months. i still end up drinking soda, eating ice cream, drinking iced tea and everything that's sweet. :(

So just to make it more illusive, I will never cut my hair. I think it's the best fat burner for me. hahaha.

The one with need of sleep

Whenever I have events, I think I always cram. Despite the arranging of logistics days before, I will still end up not getting enough sleep (read: 2 hours). But it's a wonder i still have the energy to last me the whole day and even after (coz saturday and sunday diba? hehe) But i'm really thinking of getting those outdoor pillows so i can at least take a nap (if there's such time for that) or at least get one of those eye concealers so i'd look a little more presentable to my clients. hahaha.

But to give you an idea of what keeps me sleepless, here are some of our works. Enjoy!

The one with the dog says

When we ask simone the sounds that animals make, she just does'nt imitate the sounds, she has an extra line before she makes the sound. :)

mommy/daddy: "What does the dog say?"
simone: "the dog say aw, aw, aw" (hehe, wrong grammar)
m/d: "how about the cat?"
simone: "the cat says nyaw"
m/d: how about the bird
simone: the bird says twit twi twi twi
m/d: how about the sheep?
simone: sheep says meeeeeehhh
m/d: how about the cow?
simone: cow says Moooooohhhh (with fingers naka ipit sa nose para mas close sa cow sound)

hahaha...funny! she has other animal sounds pa like frog and duck :)

aside from her verbal skills, she can now color within the lines. well, not exactly (haha) but she already knows that she has to color inside the lines. and she uses different colors for different objects in the picture. :) she also can count up to 40 but she has to see the numbers in front of her, otherwise, she can only recite up to 20. she knows the animals from the pictures and can really count already, not just recite. :) like show her 5 balls and she will go "one, two, three, four, five balls"

she also speaks more english now. but sometimes tagalog pa din. her sentences can be something like, "mommy, watch tayo tv room" or "daddy, come on, play room" cuteness!

she also knows her please and thank you. as in when you give something to her, she says "ten tyu" and when she wants something, we don't give it unless she says please :)

life skills are very essential learnings in a child and i hope she will always apply these life "lessons" in her life. :)

The one with our friend's accident

Our friend, David (simon's college friend), met an accident while crossing the 6-lane highway in front of our village. The thing about that highway was that there were no street lights. as in nada! he was hit by a motorcycle which caused his knee to be cast with metal for life. we felt so sorry for him and at the same time angry at the government here in taytay. for goodness' sake, it's a main road and the whole stretch of the road, i think only 20% had lights (SM mall included but they have their own electricity source) I don't know how we'll be able to file a complaint against the government but he is set to report the incident to the police and it's a good thing he remembered the plate number of the motorbike (oh i did'nt mention that it was a hit and run incident?)

But we still thank God for sparing his life. we love you david.

The one with cherishing the alone time

It's 1am, my babies are soundly asleep and i've been in front of the computer for several hours already and enjoying the alone time that i have! yahoo! ahehe. don't get me wrong, if you're a mom, im sure you know what i'm talking about. if you are'nt, well, mothers or anyone for that matter need some alone time too to just do the things he or she loves doing...and since i'm done checking emails from clients, i can now blog! more yey!

pero ano ba masasabi ko??? hmmm...not much...except that lately, i've been having some realizations and/or some food for the soul. here are some in random order and maybe, just maybe, it will be something to think about for you too:

~ The other day while driving, i stopped at a pedestrian and let an old woman passed. she was gray-haired, a little slow when she walked since she looked like she was at her late 70s. and as she was crossing, i noticed a teenage girl on the other side of the road waiting for her and that's when i realized that the lola was fetching her granddaughter (who i think is about 15y/o) from one side of the road just so she could cross the pedestrian! you see, the irony of it was i've always thought that when you're a senior already, you're the one who's supposed to be accompanied when crossing or something like that. and the situation made me realized that no matter how old we get, we will always look out for our children and our children's children. and even if they will be old enough to take care of themselves, we will always gather strength to volunteer in protecting and taking care of them. And it was a good realization. :)

~ I used to have pastries or crackers in the car so that i'd always have something to give when i see beggars on the streets. when i run out of this, i resort to giving money instead. One day, I gave a teenage boy some money and when he looked at how much i gave, he just shrugged and walked away. My initial reaction was, "what was that all about?!" and then i started blabbering at my husband about how "ingrato" people can be. And then he just bluntly said something that was like a stone thrown at my head. He said, "beh, when you give, you don't expect them to thank you. yun ang totoong giving". and right then and there, i shut up. as in, i was so ashamed of myself. you know, sometimes, we tend to forget to look at ourselves and we only focus on what we think are our best qualities without realizing that hey, if that person did'nt thank you, it's not your loss. God looks at your heart when you give. and i immediately said sorry for being the one who's "ingrato"

I hope these two stories of mine helped you reflect in any way :)

The one with domestic only

Since the A(H1N1) virus is now here in our country, I became less excited to have my much dreamt family out of the country trip. I managed to renew our passports and get one for Simone but we thought that a domestic trip (like a Bora trip) will be more feasible. We don't plan to cross country moving but it's really one of my dreams, to be able to have a family trip with my husband and simone. :) I just hope that this will come in reality soon :)

The one with wishlist

After my husband's birthday last April, it's my turn now and i'll be turning 30 this august 20. yey! (is it?!...hmmm...) my husband gives so much importance on birthdays to the point that he makes a countdown. hehe. he has started asking me what i wanted for my birthday. i kept on shooing away the idea of being spoiled on my birthday coz it would me another expense but i realized that if people want to spoil me, who am i to refuse?! hahaha. so this is what's in my list...

Wishlist number 1:

I know that during my search for simon's gift, this has been a close second placer as one of the choices but the laptop won. Now, it's actually in my top list. hahaha. I guess we will always drool for a DSLR. we love pictures (obviously) and we always see to it that we bring one during family events, or even when going out. I just want to have more decent pictures and something that i can also use for taking pictures of my decors and parties. hehe. rationalizing!!! Simon admitted that he's been saving up for this already so this is considered "done" and i'm just touched! love you beh! so if you want to give me a crash course on photography, i'd definitely take it..basta libre ha. hahaha.

Wishlist number 2:
It's been a while since I had my last good read. It's either I need to turn off the lights already since simone is sleeping, thus, i can't read or i simply don't have the time (which is such a lame excuse by the way) And when i read about this book while I was browsing on my latest issue of Entrepreneur magazine, I was really curious and encouraged to buy it. i don't want the hardbound, the softbound will do. :) I really hope I'd get hold of this book. :)

Wishlist number 3:

we can all dream right? and it says wish...so here's my ultimate wish!!! bwahaha. :)

The one with less of a baby

Some recent pictures of Simone:look, she has a backpack with her na. waah! parang school girl talaga.

with mommy and daddy at the new eastwood mall.

hahaha, pose kung pose!

her signature pose. hehe. here she was modeling the bratz sticker she put on her dress, sa may chest. haha.

o diba, parang dalaga mag pose?!

i will forever be amazed on how she poses in front of the camera. as in super sanay talaga. winner! i know i'd make a fortune out of it soon, papa-VTR ko muna. hahaha, joke! but seriously, may potential diba?

Simone now is so grown-up. i know i say this always pero everyday, she has become less and less of a baby to me and more of a little girl na. hay. just recently, she asked my mom when she spilled the water, "oh no, what happened?" as in my mom was shocked on what she heard. para daw matanda na yung kumakausap sa kanya. hahaha. I'm amazed on Simone's super duper love for music. she can sing the whole day like what she did yesterday. she sang the ABC song the whole day, while playing, watching tv, drinking milk. hahaha. with the lines, "now you know your ABC..." kaaliw! but of course, some lines are still not that clear pero pwede na! hahaha.

When numbers are in front of her, she can count up to 30 but if asked to recite, up to 20 lang. ahehe. super cute when she says, se-Ven-teeen... (parang slow motion na ewan). she also likes puzzles. nagulat na lang kme when one day, she got a letter Q puzzle and the card puzzle with the word and image of a queen on it. tapos she was trying to connect the two. hay, big girl na talaga!

I'm practicing her association of words now. she can associate "Nestle" and say it if she sees the word as if reading it. (but she knows that nestle is chocolate to her. hehe) other words are "ball", and "dog". i'm taking it one step at a time, anyway, she'll be able to read din naman in no time so what's the rush. katuwa lang that she's so interested with reading and books and televisions too. hehehe.

She's still super mahinhin. as in super feminine. yesterday, we had balikbayans (my cousins) and super proud lang ako when my tita ninang told me that simone is super well-mannered daw and behaved. wala kasi syang girl na apo so sanay sa mga bruskong apo na boys. hahaha. kasi when my cousin gave her a glass of juice, simone instantly said, "ten-tyu tita" (thank you tita) o diba, im one proud mama. hahaha.

Kaya even if you're less of a baby now and becoming more and more of a little girl, (let's still add the word little huh, i can't stand pa the word "girl" lang e. hahaha) in my heart, you will always be my little baby.

The one with missing mode

I miss blogging! I really do. There are times that I'd have something really "worthy" to blog about but I won't be able to find the time for it. hay, sad. But I'm being positive that i'll be able to blog more this time. we're expecting our househelp to be back today from her one-month long vacation so that means i can have more time. yey! it was one heck of a challenging month for me: juggling events, mommyhood, keeping the house look sane and family time. grabe, it's as if every energy has been exhausted from me. but i don't complain. i can't complain. hehe, everything's good :)

For the past weeks too, i noticed that our wheatgrass products are really picking up. probably because the H1N1 virus has been rapidly influencing everyone to be health-conscious and one of the many ways they see is to cleanse the body with wheatgrass or Colonix. It will all boil down to cleanliness and proper hygiene i guess. And fervent prayer too that we will all be protected of the virus.

More posts and pictures soon! can't wait to blog again.

The one with domesticated

It's been a week since Maru (simone's yaya and all-around helper) left for a 3-week vacation. Actually, i've yet to see a helper who goes back to their employer after their "vacation". All of my friends told me that they never go back. as in they never do. and because of that, even if we like maru and even if we feel that our relationship with her is as smooth, we don't hold false hopes that she'd go back. if she does then we'll be happier. :)

anyway, the first week, should i say, was a smooth transition. maybe because i was expecting it already so i kinda conditioned myself that i'd embrace domestication on an upper level. we bring our laundry to a laundry store, we clean the house, i wash simone's clothes and check mails and answer inquiries in between. It was really a test of my time management skills. everything has to be done according to the plan for the day, or else, i'd end up not finishing everything. simone is cooperative naman. she watches her new favorite movie, "alvin and the chipmunks", she can play alone when i'm doing some household chores.

Simon had to also adjust his schedule. we always have to go out together since simone is not used to sitting down on the passenger seat alone.

I thought being more domesticated now will be like a natural appetite suppresant. I thought otherwise. I tend to eat more now and raiding our own ref, opening it more times that it should be opened. haha. i finished our two ice creams and kept on muching something every now and then. oh no!

The one with 3rd time around

It's my third time to celebrate mom's day and since the special occasion was a sunday (its always a sunday), i had an event that day. We celebrated it the day after which is our official day off, monday. :) when we woke up that morning, simon asked if i wanted to go swimming and since it seems that summer is almost over and i still have'nt gone to a resort, i readily agreed and after lunch, we headed to club manila east. it was a perfect weather to take a dip. no sun, just clouds and we arrived at the resort before 3pm. (had to go to the bank first and we ate lunch na rin) it was such a pleasant experience bonding with my husband and our baby. we did'nt realize how much simone loves the water and the waves until that day. as in she would walk towards the deeper side of the "ocean waves" and would walk against the waves. she loved it so much.

it was a pleasant unplanned getaway. it was relaxing not because i was able to swim and unwind, it was relaxing and fun because our daughter had fun. Seeing her playing with the water for almost three hours straight (no rest mind you!) was so fun to watch. it was unplanned since we even forgot to bring simone's swimming pool supplies. she was running after a kid with a beach ball, wanting to get the ball. we felt sorry for her so i bought a big beach ball at the store, even if she has two already at home. hehe.

Simon gave me a starbucks thermal travel mug for mothers' day. so sweet of him. he knows how much i love starbucks but the kuripot in me will never buy such mug. hahaha. id have to wait for occasions to get one. :) thanks beh!

we gave our moms some shopping money (albeit small amount) and they were giddily excited when we handed the gift, simon to his mom and i to my mom. i just hope they did'nt buy grocery using it, or else it defeats the purpose of spoiling our moms on this special day. hahaha.

happy moms' day to all!

The one with additional space

I love our house. I love the space. I love space. Remember one post i wrote about us thinking about moving to a smaller space. well, we realized that as of now, it might not be for us. we just love big spaces and no matter how much more we have to clean and maintain, we just can't afford living to a smaller space. so anyhow, i was trying to organize my stuff that i use when i do events and found out that i have three shipping boxes full of load from party plannnig. And all these I put in our attic so i had to constantly go up and down the attic when i need something that's party-related. I was just surprised that i had that many "materials" and/or crafts already. These materials do not include party items per se, these are just my ribbons, glue, cloths, etc. :)

I'm just glad the house can accommodate all my abubot. one of the main points why this house is so hard to let go, despite our house-hunting here and there. :)

The one with back-up files

I was trying to open a file from my external hard drive which is apparently where i save all my partyboosters file. to my shock, i could'nt open my hard drive. i felt my body turned stiff and really cold. i could not, as in NOT, afford to lose all those files. i have everything there, records of client's agreements, photos, etc. I asked my husband immediately to help me open the drive and he succeeded but he also advised me to back up the files immediately as this is a sign already that the drive might be giving up on us already. Good thing i have another compact flash where i store my personal files. it has the same memory space as to what i use now so copying files won't be hard.

So scary... hehe.

The one with inevitable

We had a simple celebration for simon's 29th birthday last thursday. it was basically a fun time bonding of my family with his. Ironically, being a party planner myself, i was so lax in preparing for his party. albeit a small one, i did'nt even bother to really detail it as there was no pressure or anything naman. so we just ordered food, rented tables and chairs.

Funny lang, even if we only had it at home, we still had some glitches which made us worried a bit. For one, the light bulb in the garden was grounded and electricity tripped. Lucikly, we have a circuit breaker so automatically, during times like this, it's an automatic shut off system to avoid fire. it took us 30 minutes before we were able to revive the electricity in the living room. (which reminds me, i sill have to have it checked with an electrician, just so we're sure) Second, Simone was ususually cranky that night. she had a good afternoon nap but despite of that, she was still not in a good mood. i was starting to get a little sad since i want simon to be stress-free and to just enjoy his day but simone's crankiness can get into his nerves sometimes (or to mine). hehe, we're only human. :) third, everyone was late! my parents were the only one on time. hehe.

but all in all, we still had fun and im glad that simon had fun too. it was still a day well spent and we thank God for giving him another year. :)

The one with AND

The other day, Simone surprised me by handing me her Elmo toy and her horsey stuffed toy and said, "mommy elmo AND horse" (while she gives them out to me) waah! may AND na ito! kaloka! simon was shocked when he heard it. could'nt believe it either. hahaha.

Simone generally speaks more tagalog but understands more english. she also understands some chinese. and by some, i mean the word "kun" lang. haha. tama ba spelling basta it means sleep. when her popsy tells her, "simone, kunkun na" she will reply with, "ayaw kukun" hahaha, super cute!!!

The one with Divi shopping

I love going to Divisoria. When going and shopping to Divisoria, here are some tips that you can use:
1) Since we are near the LRT station in santolan, I don't bring a car going to Divisoria specially if i don't have so many items to buy naman. i just take the LRT and another jeep to divi and voila. i save a lot pa for the gas and the stress that i get everytime i drive that far. hehe.

2) Make sure that you have a list in tow everytime you go there. tendency kasi if you don't have a list, everything that you see, you'd want to buy them immediately. Stick to your list first and then buy other things after you bought the items from your list. Do not and i say this firmly, bring so much cash that's out of your budget because most likely, you'd end up spending this as well. believe me!

3) Do not wear any jewelry

4) Wear comfortable clothes, but not too fancy clothes. yung tamang porma lang. :)

5) Make sure you had breakfast before you start with your shopping. I always eat in Mcdo there before i start with my rounds. haha.

6) I don't bring a bag, i dont bring a wallet either. I just divide the money i bring and place it in multiple pockets and one ATM for "emergency" purposes. hahaha.

7) I go there only on weekdays.

There, i hope you're doing these too for a more pleasant shopping time in Divisoria. :) Last time I shopped there, I bought a lot of party poppers for my events, baby items for simone, lots of baby shower party decorations for my friend who's soon to give birth. yey! meron pala nun sa divi. :)

The one with turning 29

I wish I were the one turning 29...hahaha. the man in the house is turning a year short of the line of 3 stage this april 30. we're planning on having a simple dinner lang at home with our families. since the day after falls on a holiday, we can celebrate it. yey! i'm actually starting early on doing my decors for my May 1,2, and 3 events so that i won't have to cram myself the day before. I did some grocery shopping yesterday and added some items na for april 30. i also bought some skin care products for myself. yes, i'm starting with a simple regimen which hopefully i'd be able to stick to. I'm so lazy on taking care of myself. but i hope i'd change since i'm so nearing the 30 age. waah! hehehe.

have a great tuesday everyone!

The one with the new baby

Before you think of something else, let me just clear this up...i'm not pregnant and the baby is not a person. hahha. anyway, in my previous post, i was thinking of what to buy for simon as his birthday gift. and yesterday, the search has ended. he has this as his newest baby:
HP mini 1000 notebook. its only 10in in size, piano finish feature and really portable. he needs this when he's out and needs something really light. his laptop kasi which has died on him months back was so heavy. pag pinagawa, 5k din ang worth. but i still plan to have it fixed kasi sayang din and we can still sell it dahil maalaga sa gamit ang asawa ko. actually, we didnt spend a penny when we bought this. we just sold some of his gadgets na di na nagagamit, aka unused icons. tapos the budget we bought for this one and a keyboard. wow, super saya na ng bday nya ha! ano ba?! hahaha. super happy nga sya e. another option actually was a Nikon DSLR or a cellphone. the former approved sa ken but we thought about it and admitted na tama na ung isang hobby nya lang for a splurge. alam ko kasi that when we started buying stuff for the camera, the list of "to buy" is endless. hehe. eh meron pa syang mga musical gadgets to drool so masyado na syang masaya pag marami syang gadgets. hahaha. the latter naman was out of the question. hindi ako mahilig sa cellphone so hindi sya approved sa ken. hehe. at chaka bago pa ang samsung phone nya. wala pa nga 6 months. ano ba?! hehehe.

happy bday simon! love you! enjoy the new baby!

The one with model potential

Simone at the age of two poses like a model. She learned this even before turning two. She'd pose and would'nt move until she hears the camera click or she sees the flash. Then, she'd make another pose all by herself and will ask the photographer to take another picture. hahaha. here's one session recently at home with daddy as her photographer. :)

"hindi tulog yan, joke lang yan..."

no one was directing her. everything was her own poses...promise!

kahit ito, i dont even know why her hand was like that. hahaha

of course, she's still pa-cute. :)

at 25 months, her motor skills are more developed now. her stranger anxiety is close to zero na. she counts up to 20 already. she loves little einsteins now, she loves to dance too, and sing! she still amazes us when she sings while playing. she's the only kid i know who hums while playing. can you believe that?! hehe. that's dad's genes alright! she also knows the different instruments.

i'm also proud when strangers say hi to her and she waves back and say hi too. and when we're out and she's so behaved and people will comment how behave my daughter is and that she's the mahinhin type. hehe. she's generally behave naman talaga. but i'am surprised to receive comments that simone is tall for her age. madami kasi nagsasabi that she's tall for two. eh sa isip ko nga, "wait til you see my friends' babies" hehe, kasi yung mga kalaro ni simone like joaquin, joaqui and andie, they're the big ones. si simone yung parang smallest but we still get more comments of her being tall and big for her age. i also love the fact that she gained weight already. her built now is the ideal kind that i wanted for her. she's not that big, still lean but heavy. :) even my in laws told me that simone gained back her weight. actually, i think all toddlers pass that stage, yung tipong papayat kasi tatangkad tapos tataba ulit when they've reached a certain height already. :)

we talk to simone like an adult. she answers to almost all our questions and can communicate with what she wants. there are some words that are still blank to me and i'm still discovering what those words are but in general, our communication has improved a lot. this is the stage where i actually feel she's NOT a baby anymore. and the emotional string has been pulled! harhar. sometimes, i'd feel that time flew so fast that sooner or later, she'll go to school na and that i'd miss being with her often. one thing i'd always tell myself, i never regret leaving my 8-5 job for simone because the bond that we share is a good foundation for her and for me too, as a mom. i think i'd stop na, less i'd cry here while i blog about her more. hehe.

Another mini-milestone is her association of words and letters. Just a while ago, she saw the logo of Nestle in her coco crunch pack and said in glee, "ne-yey ay-kim!" (nestle ice cream!) i asked her to repeat what she said and said the same thing. she read it nestle ice cream. the logo she must have seen it on TV and associated it with ice cream. hehe, i think we really can teach them to read. :)

congrats baby!

The one with still more choices

the past few weeks were more like "home-hunting" for us. i could'nt count how many agents we've talked to, nor the number of houses we looked at now. and when simon mentioned it to my in-laws, another option was suggested which was more like a last option for me. ahehe. don't take it against me, i love my in-laws. i've been closer to them after we got married and much more when we started doing business together (my MIL is the one who makes all Dresscode outfits for partyboosters) anyway, what was their suggestion you ask? they suggested that instead of acquiring a condo unit or something so small, why not construct a second-floor in their house. it would have been a great choice since we'd live close to them, easy for me to leave simone when i have meetings, or no need to think about the lot etc. but it's still not ours. Plus he still has four more siblings and we don't want any complications along the way. you know what i mean. but i welcomed the suggestion...really. it was a very generous one. It's just that we'd like to have something that we can also pass to our kid/s in the future, something like what they've strived for before. even if it will be a small house, it's still something we'd call ours. :)

so the house hunting does'nt end. neither the saving up for it, hehe. :) it's what you call faith in action :)

The one with almost an accident

I forgot to blog about this incident that happened to me about two weeks ago. It was a thursday, my usual meeting day with clients. I finished around 930pm in Starbucks megamall and there i met simon so we can go home together. When I went out of starbucks to walk towards him, he saw me already and we were only ten feet apart when i felt a big bang at my back, the impact was so hard i felt my head moved and shook. yung parang sa palabas when someone has been hit by a car tapos slow motion na naalog yung ulo mo paharap. i was in shock and at the same time curious of who might have hit me that hard. when i looked back, i saw a big pile of garbage, the one that the maintenance use when collecting garbages. the garbage was way above the big bin already, thus the maintenance crew could'nt see his way. he was, i guess, looking at the sides just to make sure that nobody's on his way. Well, he looked wrong. We analyzed that the side of the bin was the thing that hit me. I shouted "ouch!" (wow, sosyal pala ako umaray, haha!) and then my initial reaction was to shout at the maintenance crew. why? when i looked at him, he did'nt have the slightest apologetic face. he was grinning, as if it was all a joke. and then i shouted, "anong nakakatawa? umayos ka nga sa trabaho mo,di mo kasi tinitingnan daanan mo e" and then i did'nt know what happened next. simon was the one who talked to him as i had to sit down. i felt my back numbing from pain. natakot ako. when simon touched it, nagulat kme coz it was only an inch away from my spine. I know it was still God who protected me. had it been in my spine, i dont know where i'll be now. super lakas talaga ng impact that i felt a ring in my ear and i felt like i carried ten sacks of rice and my whole body felt weak. hay. God is still good. we got the name of the guy and told him that we will file a complaint should anything happen to me. but the following day, since nothing happened to me, i did'nt bother to call coz i also thought that he might lose his job if i file a complaint.

we are all under His wings, thus, no one and nothing can do us harm. :)

The one with kreativ blogger award

Thanks Joanne for this award. :)

The rules that go along with this blogger award are as follows:

Name 7 things that you love then pass this onto 7 other kreativ bloggers. In no particular order, here are my loves:

1. God
2. My husband
3. My family
4. Partyboosters
5. meeting new people
6. taking care of my baby
7. my friends

Who/what are your 7 loves Chell, Cee, Mai, Concon, Mec, Mhay, and Apple?

The one with he had it in him

I used to always brag here whenever i get best deals or best buys but this post, i just had to give credit to my husband for being able to stretch his budget and looked for the best buy of his what i call "kaprichuhan". as my husband would always tell me, sya na daw ang pinaka-matipid na musikero coz when he buys things, he always considers the budget despite of his drooling for the pricey ones. hahaha.

he bought this digital piano for a meek price of 4k. it's not one of those wholesale electronics that we know of. he saw an ad of a japan surplus and told him that a piano was included in their last shipment. i think 25 dead keys (keys not working) but he took the risk and still bought it without knowing if it will still work.

in fairness it really looks nice. and when he finally found a piano technician (is that how they call them?) only 5 keys (lower ones pa) and hindi na lang gumagana so basically he's so happy na and he can play it at home anytime he wants to. yey! im so proud of you baby! i asked him the market value of the piano and he said it's between 25 to 30k! grabe!

now the money he has from selling his Korg Karma is now the new dilemma. he wanted a keyboard and a laptop. but i told him that he has to fit his budget with everything he wants. he can't go beyond...or else...hehehe.

can i count this as my birthday gift for him? hahaha. bday gift is letting him buy what he wants with his money. nyahaha. what a wife?!

The one with lifestyle change

Change is always good. It's the only permanent thing in this world right? Simon and I have been discussing about our family and what we plan to do and have for the next years to come. and we are really serious in looking for the perfect house for our family. If you've read my previous posts, we have met with our godparents who are the owners of the house. hmm, now we're having second thoughts coz we think we won't be able to meet their offer plus, we realized that we wanted a new house, something that we don't have to worry for the renovation of.

so anyway, we were scouting for options and when we were malling in megamall yesterday, we were welcomed with a lot of agents. one offer that interested us is the townhouse in sandoval pasig. it's perfect coz it's near c5(closer to simon's ofc), near our in-laws and my parents' too. but since they're still pre-selling and no specific details yet, we will just have to wait.

and then just this morning, we went out again to check on other houses near LRT station. we saw this condominium for rent and we got intrigued. the rent is just 1k difference from our lease rate now and it's more convenient, transpo wise. right now kasi, i use the car and simon commutes. well, more like taxi rides so more or less he spends about 10k a month just for transpo and we were thinking of renting the condo unit so we can save more to be able to pay for the house we wanted. :)

so the big question is, "are we up for the challenge?" can we live in a 30sq.m space and give up the big house we are in now? can we sacrifice our love for big space and accept the condo living so we can save more for the house we really wanted?

hmm, this is a major decision and i know we really have to pray for this. we don't want to make drastic moves. but what do i feel about it? i'm more excited actually! i dont know, for some reason, it feels more convenient and the savings will really go a long way for the house. :)

will update you more. in the meantime, compute muna ako. hahaha. :)

The one with summer na!

Well, it's been raining for two days already but what the heck, summer pa rin! nyahaha. below are pics of simone on one of her inflatables. she was given three inflatable pools on her 1st birthday, as in all in varying sizes, so cool! and this is the first time we used this one.

"nasa lilim pa kasi takot mangitim" (took the shade so she won't get dark)

pero di na rin nakayanan at naglaro na talaga. this is the part where she said "mommy, wait" coz i was asking her to dry up already which of course she did'nt wanted. :)

one of her award-winning moments. she was actually "crying" coz she does'nt want to go out of the pool amidst her dad and mom's calls. kunwari umiiyak, hindi naman totoo. hahaha.

The one with confused

April is nearing....yikes! It always puts a little extra pressure on me during this month since it's my husband's birthday. I really wanted to purchase something that he likes, something na mejo luho. ahehe. but i also have to think of our budget and our savings. Plus, i'm really looking forward to us having a decent vacation, just us three. (kaya ako nagpapapayat) and another dilemma to add to that is the home theater furniture we've been drooling for months. hahaha. so what do you think i should do?
- Option A: give in to his one of his wishlists: a digital piano
- Option B: save it up for a trip this year
- Option C: digital piano plus a family outing with our families (fermins and tans)
- Option D: buy the furniture and never mind if he does'nt feel like it's his bday gift.
- Option E: sleep it through the day!

cast your votes now. :)

The one with Day 1

This is my YM status today. And a couple of friends asked me what's it about. hahaha. It's my first day of deciding to be fit and be healthy. For the past few weeks, I really felt bloated and big. as in, feeling ko my tummy has its own 3-pack version, yun nga lang bulging yung akin. hahaha. and it's been days already that i've been wanting to go brisk walking at Club Manila East but it never happened...until today!

Yey, and I'm just so happy I did it. i mean, i don't know if i can maintain it for a long time but i'm happy i overcame my "sleepy head self" and dragged myself at 6am to walk. and with concon's gift to me, was able to monitor my steps which reached 5k. half nako to my 10,000 steps a day! yey! hahaha.

i really wanted to look slimmer and more fit. coz i know i'll look better with my bod before. i also wanted to start having a skin regimen. my skin is starting to break out. waah! wanted to have a microdermabrasion but found it really expensive. hahaha, the thrifty in me. so the question is, "will there be a day 2?" you'll find out tomorrow! wish me luck!

The one with best buys

well, i could'nt post the pics kasi tinatamad ako. hahaha. pero i was able to buy simon a polo shirt that's 50% off, so masaya nako dun. kala ko yun na, when we dropped by at my parents' house, i remembered that it's been a while since i last visited my clothing haven sa greenpark. there's this one store kasi na bagsakan ng mga overruns so i regularly check out the place to see if may bagong items. :) so i chanced upon and to my delight, maraming bagong stocks. i was able to buy shirts with bling-blings at 140 each lang. winner talaga! and Izod polo shirt for simon at 140 rin. hahaha. tapos Gap jeans for simone at 100 each. o diba?! masaya! syempre, medyo tyambahan sya. tapos yun nga, hindi sya aircon so you have to go there tipong gabi para di mainit. tapos walang matinong fitting room, yung mga ganun. so kung maarte ka, di ka pwede dun. hehe. ako, i dont fit there. basta bumibili lang ako. :)

another best buy was the Crocs athens i bought from a fellow n@wie. actually, kaya lang naman sya best buy was that i was able to buy it at the same price as when she bought it from that over-crowded crocs megasale. pero when i got it, malaki rin pala sa ken :( hehe. hadhad kasi ako. hahaha.

yun lang, napa-share lang. sleep nako! may isa pa akong kwento tungkol sa isang encounter ko with a client. sa isa kong blog popost. hehe.

The one with my loyal dog

Ross has always been there for us. He makes sure that our house is well-guarded specially when we go out and no one is left at home. He's always malambing. Simone loves him dearly. He never complains about him not being bathed everyday anymore. He never complains about not having a pooch bed for him. He's always contented with what he has.

And because it's rabies awareness month, i made sure that he gets his dose of vaccine this month. it's kinda overdue na nga e. and to reward him for being a very good baby, i bought him some cattle supplies and pooch supplies that he can play with. I don't play with him na kasi that often since simone was born.

We love you Ross!

Aug. 2006 (Ross is the same age as Simone, gestational age ni simone. hehe)

The one with still can't believe

I'm no Francis M. fanatic. But I loved his love for the country and his way of expressing it. Truly, there's only one Francis M. and I may not have known this before but i'm pretty sure i'll miss his music. I practically grew up with his music. From Mga Kababayan ko, to Kaleidoscope World, to Cold summer nights, etc. and i've memorized his songs hangga't kayo ko, pati yung mga rap parts. hahaha. And I'm just glad that my generation was one of the generations that he was part of. :) kasi talk about him to a teen now and they'd go, "ahh, parang si Cloc 9?" hehe.

I know he does'nt even know me at all and i know his family have received a lot of thank you's already but again, Thank you for the legacy you left in the music industry. It's been a week of tributes for him and when i saw the service held for him, can't help but cry. but everything happens for a reason and i'm glad that his wife is just as strong to handle this.

Hay, where can i buy the 3 stars and a sun shirts? I want one!

The one with long weekend

I had one. Well, it was one of the usual weekends with events but as usual, it was both fun and tiring at the same time. Yesterday, we had two events, and then right after the second one i had to meet with a client pa and then dropped off the order of another client (for their give-aways) and went home na to fetch simone and prep ourselves for a family dinner since we're celebrating Lola Alma's birthday :) (simon's mom) we had fun taking pictures, eating, chatting na feeling namin house namin ang Don Hen. hahaha. :) everything's good. Happy bday Ma!

And then sunday, I had to wake up early to meet my staff to give instructions for the day's event. I was'nt able to drop by at this event since we had to attend to another family affair. when we got home in the afternoon, i was so tired and i felt taking an afternoon nap, more like a power nap. so i dozed off and did'nt even bother to ask simon to take care of simone first. well, we were in the same room rin lang naman. i so love my husband and my daughter. simone did'nt even disturb me while i was snoring, haha. and the husband, even if he was tired himself too, babysat simone during my nap. :) and yes, after a long while, i finally had a 3-hour afternoon nap! im soo happy! hahaha

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

The one with this is how it will look like

If we were given two babies agad, i think this is how it will probably look like...

sabi ko naman, never sit beside these two without powder on. ayan tuloy, mukha ako ulikba sa kanilang dalawa. hahaha.

simone is more like an achie talaga with justin. although, they don't like sharing toys at times. hehe, when justin, much to his amusement, slaps her achie simone, she will just pretend to cry and go to me and point where she has been "slapped". hehe, she never fought back :)

my SIL gave simone these sketch pads and colored pencils from her korean boyfriend james. simone loves it so much. and look howhow much theyve colored and doodled here. :)

i still have to imagine myself with having two kids. honestly, it scares the heck out of me. pero yun nga, if it's meant to be, then we welcome it with open arms :) but as for now, these are my two babies and i love them to bits! :)

The one with ten, ten, ten, ten

I did'nt know W@w is doing this for former w@wies so when i saw this post from jane, i tagged myself. hehe. thanks jane!

(In celebration of W@W 10th Year Anniversary, John Rana created a tag for former W@Wies to answer).

Instructions: Delete my answers and fill up with yours. Then tag 10 of your W@Wie friends (if possible) to pass.

1. Your W@ W tenure (indicate the year and/or month)
- It's December of 2004 up to May 2006. yes, i have to wait for my other w@wie friends to get married first before i can unsubscribe.

2. Best W@Wie idea you picked up & used for your wedding
- all the DIY projects i made. parang kulang na lang pati gown ko i-diy ko. hahaha.

3. Most active W@Wie Groom in your batch
- Hmm, I knew this guy who got married in coconut palace. His name is Mike. He's not that really super active but we were corresponding too thru mails. He's based in dubai. after his wedding (which i was invited by the way, thanks mike), he gave away the luminaries that they made too, materials are hard plastic from dubai which after my wedding, i also donated to the w@wies and i think a couple of w@wies were able to use them until masira na lang.

4. Funniest /most memorable W@W eGroup moment
- When I got two w@wie recognition during the EB. Before the actual EB, everyone was nominating someone and casting their votes. when i learned that i was a nominee, feeling ko oscar's nomination ito. hahaha. no kidding! di ko naman kasi na-realize that they will really vote for me kaya super touched ako when benz mentioned my name and i had to go to the front...twice! thanks so much! sabi ko nga nun, (i can still remember it), we help each other not because we want to be popular, but we help because its our way of giving back what w@w has done for us and as long as a bride is helping other brides to have their dream wedding too, the vision and mission of w@w lives on. well, i didnt say those words exactly pero parang ganun. hahaha.

5. Most active/helpful W@Wie in your batch
- hmm, madami in our batch. Mec was one of those and she was even awarded as Most Helpful :)

- I was able to attend w@wie weddings and i think concon's wedding was one memorable day. i still can remember her walk and when her mom hugged her so tight, it was like she does'nt want to let her go. hehe. and all of us were crying already. :)

The one with further education

if you the upper left corner of this page, there's a section called profile and you can see how young i'am now. hehe. in a few months, i'll be out of the young twenties and will also welcome myself to the mid-life of 30's. :) and i can't help but think if further education will still be practical for me. I know I wanted to educate myself more on events, flower arrangements, and stuff regarding what i do now but if i wanted to enroll myself in a school, i think online programs will be more practical.

I encountered a program that can guarantee you an online Project Management Certificate and when i browsed on what courses they are offering, I was quite impressed of how vast their curriculum is. They offer programs from engineering managers, to business analysts, to teacher assistants and procurement jobs. They also include the expected salary range that one can get should you complete this program as part of your credentials.

I think it's pretty cool considering that you can finish the program online and make yourself more productive and educated. :)

The one with terrible two dose

Before simone turned two, i've been wondering how she'd be like once she welcomes herself to what they call the terrible two stage. She's generally behaved kasi and i'd like to believe (that time) that maybe, just maybe, we won't have to go thru that terrible stage at all.

Although i have yet to encounter such an experience of that kind, im starting to think that she's been welcomed to that phase already and she embraced it gladly. hahaha. i think the reason is that they're more intelligent now, they wanted things on their own although for some things, they can't still do it but since they think they can, they get frustrated and the terriblish things happen. haha. And since they can also communicate with you, they feel they're more matured now, that they can get what they want when they want it. So i really feel that discipline should seriously start at this age. Like just this afternoon, yaya maru took the day off so im left with her after simon took off for work na. she feels so sleepy already but she did'nt want to sleep yet. she cried and cried and i just ignored her. as in pure snob of what whining and crying of sorts. until she held out her arms and asked if she could be carried. she got tired from all the crying until she fell asleep na. im proud of myself for being able to stop myself from giving in to her wants and im so proud that she also obeyed me (well, after all the crying, hehe)

I guess that's how it really is. I just hope the terrible two does'nt become a terrible three, or four, or five...nyahaha. i had some work holding me today but since i just wanted to be just a mommy right now, i might just do it later in the evening. :)
