The one with Moving out?

Ninang Celia emailed simon that the house we wanted before will be ready for rent next month and she offered it to us first before she can offer it to others. we wanted it so badly before since it's a big house and all our stuff will easily fit. Now that it's vacant again, I'm weighing things if i want to get it or not. First, it's an additional rent expense of P1,500.00 although 7k rent for a house is practically cheap but since it's farther from where we live, gas expense will be higher of course and everything else. Second, when I move in to another house, I want it to be our own already. But since we're still saving for the down-payment and honestly, we have'nt found the "IT" house yet so we can't possibly process our pag-ibig loan. On the other hand, I want to move in there for the ff. reasons: first, our car will have its own garage finally and will save it from rust. second, it's nice to have a place where you can roam around, have an attic where you can use it as a mini-studio or art room. third, it's near the new SM city taytay! as in, just beside the village so we can go there if we want to and save aircon! hahaha. (but im serious)

we're praying for it...and help us be enlightened. what do you think?

Hi, bloghopped from Liv's blogspot site.

Thought I'd react to your post re: your rent dilemma. If you chose to move to the more expensive rent, how long would you guys continue to rent? Are we talking years? Because by taking the 7K rent option, you're shelling out an extra 18K in rent alone. I don't know how much a/c you guys use but chances are, what you save by hanging out in SM Taytay will be consumed by your add'l rent amount. Furthermore, being at the mall a lot more might possibly tempt you guys to buy things you don't necessarily need (thus defeating the purpose of saving on your a/c bills only to spend at the mall). As for the rust situation, is it possible to buy a cover for the car so as to protect it from further damage? But maybe this would be impossible and might obviously attract too much attention or worse, they just steal the cover.

I say stick it out where you are. Extra space is really great... but I think settling in your dream home feels greater. Pinch those centavos; before you guys know it, you're in a brand-new home.... THAT YOU OWN.

Good luck!

err, clarification: you'd be shelling out an extra 18K IN A YEAR should you choose to move and pay extra...

thanks jen for the inputs. the mall thing is an exag. we wont go out as often naman, hehe. pero it would have been nicer to be nearer to a mall. the car issue is really a big concern to us since our car before really rusted dahil sa rains and sun. hmm, we wont be renting din naman ng matagal. we're just looking for our dream home, and i hope it wont take us a year more. thanks anyway!
