The one with more gifts

I wonder why since we had simone, nobody gives us gifts anymore. hahaha. well, our families have separate gifts for us but the number of gifts to open just keeps on getting smaller every year. hahaha.  We're humans too you know! bwahaha...

At least we still have a day that's for couples only. We still get bouquets for Valentine's day...oh and anniversaries too. hahaha. :)

The one with busy

I have'nt checked my phones for all the christmas greetings i got, moreso charge the other one coz the battery drained already. hahaha. It's really Christmas now! It's soooo fast, I had to cherish every moment coz tomorrow, the much-awaited day of the year has passed. We had a very good time spending christmas with our families.  We normally cap off our evening at home after having dinners with my parents and in-laws but since last year, we opted to just have dinners at our families and spend the evening until christmas time. :)

Simone said, "It's time to open my presents coz it's the bday of Jesus" hahaha...she was itching to open all her presents and we were telling her to wait until it's the bday of Jesus.  I have another story about that, it's so funny. will post it on a separate entry.  She opened some of her presents, they are all nice. thank you to our families for the gifts.  she even had gifts featuring sesame street muppets like Elmo, and Ernie. :) those are her favorite characters!

Merry Christmas everyone! God bless you!

The one with Christmas is here!

Merry Christmas everyone! May everyone be filled with God's blessings and grace! Cheers!

The one with randoms

I'm sitting here on my desk, thinking about blogging just so i'd do something different (aside from a whole day of working and surfing the net), and realized that there are so many events that transpired and i'm not even sure how to start.  Our family's just as crazy as all our events are. :)

Jayson and Skokie's wedding
I've been blessed to have a wonderful 2nd family with the Tans. I could never ask for more. My sisters in law treat me as one of their sisters, my in-laws are kind and easy to talk to as well.  So when Jayson and Skokie married last sunday, i realized that our family has another addition and that this family is really growing. :) I got teary-eyed during the bridal march (what's new?!) and everytime the bride marches down the aisle, i never miss to glance on the groom and see his reaction upon seeing his bride. Man, Jayson's reaction made it on top of my book! He cried, with tissue wiping his tears. arrgh, so i got emotional and started to well up my eyes.

It was a very solemn and intimate wedding.  The garden was perfect for the ceremony.  And i love how we were able to transform the reception venue to a simplet yet elegant set-up. :)  I did'nt have any gifts to give, and my gift is not as pricey as the microwave oven they got, the extendable dining table for their pad, nor the turbo broiler they received but i shared and gave a piece of what my passion (naks!) can do and i'm glad they loved it. :)

Being at their wedding turned me back time when we had our wedding five years back.  I can still smell the same Christmas air and our stilletos piercing the ground. I guess weddings will always have a special place in my heart. :)

Congratulations to the Belesarios! We love you guys! I'm so proud of you two!

The one with slowing it down

The husband was having his own Bible time and came across a very timely message about slowing down.  He lent me the book and asked me to read it as well.

Every year, we find ourselves promising to take things more slowly next year.  I always find myself being sick, running to and fro, meeting all deadlines and projects and being tired at the end of the day. And before you knew it, christmas has passed my by. *sigh* I hope this year will be different. I'm sooo looking forward for next week as this is my last weekend before parties.

Let's always remember the reason for the season...it's not on the gifts we give, not on the bonuses and projects we are able to do, not on the christmas rush, definitely not on the heavy traffic. Let's ponder on the things that really define CHRISTmas. :)

God bless everyone!

The one with super busy

I'm conditioning myself for a super busy week, i wanted everything to be done -- all my deadlines, projects and last-minute shopping. i still can't believe im not yet done with this shopping thing. i planned to spend on shopping episode with the husband but we can't seem to find the time to go out and plan what gifts to buy for our families. Budget is a major factor by the way. haha. but if i'd have it my way, i'll buy our parents his and hers watches, nice bags for my sisters, polos for my brothers and a modern furniture set for the newlyweds to go with their own little nest. ;) let me check again that budget sheet...

Merry Christmas everyone! :)

The one with a wedding once more

I'm sooo happy for jayson and skokie for finally tying the knot. I still can't believe that simon's youngest sister is now married.  I'm not used to the fact that she is now Mrs. Belesario. I'm so hyped for the two of them. Congrats and best wishes! I'll post a separate entry about their wedding plans and our decors done for their wedding.

They'll be staying at my in-laws' place in the meantime so there's not much to miss from them as i can still see them everytime we go there.  hahaha. :) But seriously, it's a practical move as they'd be able to save more and spare themselves from buying and installing their own meralco unit, moreso a Hansgrohe faucet for their water as they can always pitch in the bills' costs. :)

Love you guys! cant wait for you to have a baby! :)

The one with almost done

I'm so happy coz i'm almost done with our christmas shopping.  We I just have to buy gifts for our families and two or three for godsons and we're done.  I started a little early this year and i think it paid off.  I also maximize my time by buying gifts when i get the time to do it.

I'm able to maximize my EPS card now and i'm so happy that i don't have to bring that much cash anymore.  With the christmas season, there's a rising number of theft incidents.  In the US, would you believe that there's electronic pickpocketing already and only an rfid wallet can prevent any identity theft or electronic pickpocketing.  I wish we have that already here.

Happy shopping everyone! Be safe. :)

The one with backache

Terrible pain. I woke up this morning and can't even stand up without shouting from the pain.  It's still a wonder how i got it, but it seemed like it's a muscle cramp.  I forgot to use the comforter when i slept last night.  I even had a massage yesterday and did'nt even feel anything.  I actually felt relived especially when i had the steam bath, it was like an electric blanket that kept me warm.

I can't run.  I can't driver properly.  I hope this ends soon.  I need to be on my toes for Skokie's wedding on sunday!

The one with a new thing

I started a new exercise and tried if this may actually work for me.  I started running about three weeks ago with a once a week regimen with my parents.  I know they're not the best "enablers" for this one but I saw it more as a bonding time for us and for their physical fitness too. :) We tried UP Ikot and Marikina oval.  They found UP more for them as they have a breath of fresh air but concrete can be too hard on their knees as what my good friend naan mentioned so we may have to alternate it or better yet, they just walk on the grass, if it's allowed :)

My once a week led to more like twice a week now, with the other time of just me running jogging walking. I'm taking everything on a pace.  I don't wanna force myself just so i could tell everybody that i'm doing something new.  I wanted to make it a lifestyle and be proud of myself that something i just put on my wishlist years back is something that's turning into reality now :)

Wish me luck and i hope i'd be able to stick to this one!

The one with paying it off

I made an entry introducing cashcashpinoy.com and i'm so thrilled and surprised that a lot of friends replied positively to my invite.  I love how it works and i'm pretty addicted to it already, checking the site everyday.

A good and sweet surprise caught me when i saw my credits reached P1,200.00 effortlessly. hahaha. From the invite i posted, some registered and made their first purchase, thus, giving me P100 each for their first purchase. :) I was shocked to see that 12 of them purchased deals already. :) It's like one of those online affiliate programs that make you earn money in no sweat. try it for yourself! :)

The one with healing

I have unintentionally delayed posting about this but this is TOO GOOD to pass up. This is a praise report that continues to witness to me.  Remember months ago i made a post about a diagnosis.   and after three months, i took another ultrasound to check if the cyst is still there. Praise God for the right cyst (measuring about 5cm) is totally gone! praise God!!! I know that doctors usually say that it's just a follicle cyst, that usually it melts by taking in medicines but i still praise God because what if it's another thing, and im so glad that i'm done with that already. You're the Great Healer!

Now, i have a myoma (but it's relatively small) and no need for medication.  But my OB-gyn specifically told me to lose weight and that the next time i visit her, i should be able to lose weight already.  And now the battle begins! A doctor had to tell me that i need to lose weight for health concerns just so i can convince myself to really lose weight. hahaha. so typical. but it's good that i'm heading towards a healthier lifestyle.  diet pills with ephedra may not work for me, just good exercise, good diet and hopefully, that myoma will be gone in no time. I'll post another entry about my own search for physical fitness and hopefully (really), i'd be able to make this as my way of living :)

Merry Christmas everyone and a big happy bday shoutout to my bestfriend, Anne! i love you mare!

The one with royal engagement

I know I'm a bit delayed to be making an entry about this, but they're just too darn sweet...
Prince William and Kate Middleton engaged!

I was less interested with royal weddings when Prince Charles and Princess Diana married, let alone when they announced their engagement. So this one had a greater impact on me.  I was all-smiles when i was watching the movie and after eight years (with two split ups), they still ended up together...and i hope it will be forever.

Congratulations! Oh and yes, the ring was humongous! (silent scream)

The one with surprise

Surprise because I was surprised too of the turn of events.  Oct 28 in the morning i saw a post from a co-n@wie who shared about airphilexpress promo.  The promo is a whopping 888 base fare for one way ticket to singapore, including the taxes, a round trip ticket is 3k in price. not bad at all. i immediately texted my sisters in law and asked if they want to join.  Initially, i wanted to book for our parents as well but the price price is just too much as this is not really planned at all.  So i asked my sisters if they want to join and share in with the cost for our parents' fares.  Jane instantly said yes so i called achie and before we knew it, i was on the line talking to her already and we were booking simultaneously so we'd get the same travel dates and time. hahaha.

So June 2011, prepare for the Tans!

The one with trying to make it right

I'm here again with my weight loss issues (yes, it has become an issue already!) and after all the eat outs and my post entries about family gatherings, now i feel guilty of all the weight i know i'd gain a few days from today. sigh. i started doing a small exercise routine that my husband taught me. heck, dont judge me. it's really a simple routine. i can't start with the high-profile ones just yet.  I know the right attitude is needed for this to be effective. Think sexy jacque, think! haha. My weighing scales (yes in plural form) will indicate the same hideous weight that i'am in now. i'd have to say hideous so i'd get motivated to do something about it.

i really hope simone got her dad's body frame and metabolism...hahaha.

The one with battery included

Our Vin is only 10 months old and when one morning, I had a hard time starting him, I wondered what the heck happened. He just had his 15km check up, impossible naman that it's an engine problem.  And so it was, we needed to have the battery replaced as it became defective.  Good thing though it's under warranty.  I had to give credit to Mitsubishi evolander branch here in taytay.  I know it's customer service pero it's not the branch where we got our car, and the problem that we had was not even an engine problem but a battery problem that they had technically no connection with. But they accepted our request and did'nt charge us of anything. as in nada. all customer service. katuwa :)

Getting the car now was the problem.  I was using my dad in law's car that time when they called me and asked me to pick up the car already.  I don't know how to drive two cars at the same time. haha. so when i got our car, i parked it in front of mitsubishi, told simon's uncle to pick up our car there. he did'nt know where it was so i gave specific instructions that it was just in front of Federal hardware where he always buys our things for our party set-ups, it's not as complete as a Baldwin hardware but at least everything we need can be found there. :)

Glad Vin is ok na, perfect for the weekend parties again :) Thank you Lord!

The one with 38

It's Popsie and Lola's 38th anniversary today! I did'nt realize that October is such an occasion-filled month for our families.  We had like three major events that we celebrated and the diet was ruined. (what diet?!)

we had a simple dinner at their house. No need for chair slipcovers, we ordered food from Isaw Haus, bought pizzas from Shakey's, and i bought cake from Conti's.  I also bought hotdogs to experiment on the corndogs. yummy!  we also made fried cookies ala mode. yummy! we had sugar overload with all the desserts. :) The conti's cake was a hit. super yummy and it was really a chocolate overload.

Happy anniversary popsie and lola! May God continue to bless your marriage. We love you!

The one with trick or treat - 2nd

It's the same venue that we had to go to -- Fun Ranch.  And this event is sponsored by my sister-in-law's company at Sykes.  We generally had fun.  We used my dad-in-law's car going there because our Vin's battery is breaking down on us and we need to have it replaced.  Good thing though that it's still under warranty. It's just a hassle having to bring it to the casa and unfortunately, they don't have a spare battery to replace Vin's battery so Vin had to stay there until the get one.  I felt like looking for a battery is like looking for one of those Ferrari parts since they needed to call a lot of battery offices to confirm if they can have it replaced..  I hope it won't take that long.

Anyway, we started the day dropping by my sister-in-law's office to meet her officemates and they gave some treats to the kids. :) It was cute.  Simone and Justin were on their matching Woody and Jesse outfits. soo cute and adorable! Then we headed to Fun Ranch and stood in line for registration.  The expected kids are 650 so an expected crowd of over a thousand were there. The were shows, free rides, free food (spaghetti and hamburger), free popcorn and cotton candy, free photobooth and treats! Simone had her pumpkin full from the  lootbags given by the sponsors and while we were waiting on the photobooth line, we were going thru the treats munching some of them. hahaha.

We rode the train that justin loves so much. And then the carousel which simone loves too.  Although it was raining and there were a lot of people, we still had fun. :) Thanks bebs!

The one with dreamless dream

Have you ever had a dream you can't remember? Or you're not even sure if you had a dream but you felt like you had one? It's so weird but I had it last night.  I can't remember anything, and i can't remember if i really dreamt something. Just bothersome. Makes me want to think to buy an orthopedic mattress that said to help in sleep and have those sweet dreams.  haha. Maybe i was tired having to run after two kids during trick or treating yesterday. :) Another post on that one

The one with Howl-o-walk

For Simone's first trick or treat event this year, we were able to go to Fun Ranch's Howl-O-walk event last Oct. 24, 2010.  Before i post their pictures (which are still in the husband's phonecam), let me share with you my take about the event.

* I knew from the start the there are not so many establishments in fun ranch, thus, less treats for the kids but since it's free, we opted to go. harhar.
*It's really hot there.  Even if there were fans, ceiling fans or wall fans, it would'nt be enough. I remember we seldom go there since the place is outdoors and then some establishments are airconed and going in and out of the aircon and non-aircon rooms can make kids sick. So when we had the trick or treat, I changed simone to her Zoe costume, a little more comfortable outfit than her Jesse outfit.  I saw some babies in overalls and really thick clothing.  Although i found it really cute, it's just so hot that they'd cry afterwards. :(
*The organizers were okay.  It's just that i hope they gave more leeway for the non-registered participants.  Apparently, it's an online pre-registration but i think about 75% of the participants there were non-registered (including us) so we have to wait an hour more from the start of the event to give way for the registered participants.  About 15 minutes before our time, i asked if we could line up already so we could get first.  And she said no as we'd have to wait exactly at 4pm.  I did'nt get it. Lining up will make their lives easier but she did'nt allow it. But other moms still lined up so we lined up as well. haha.
*Our kids enjoyed the treats.  Their pumpkins did'nt get full but it was a good experience :)

We're off to another trick or treating today! :)

The one with best deals program

I'm hooked with two new sites that i visit everyday to check what's the latest promo in the metro.  And i'd like to share it with you.

Ensogo
Cashcashpinoy

These two sites work about the same way.  They offer really tempting promos for as high as 80% discounts. pretty cool right? But here are my unsolicited advices to help you before you purchase a transaction

1.  Make sure to call the merchant or the store offering the promo.  There are contact numbers listed and confirm about the promo.  There are reported instances that they can also offer almost the same promo even if you're not a member, thus, defeats the purpose of availing the said promo thru these sites.

2.  Read the terms and conditions of the merchant or store. Dont be easily swayed with the price-offs without reading the terms and conditions

3.  Other than that, you can enjoy their promos!

I tried buying one thru paypal and spent $4 or 175 pesos for a massage in a salon in rockwell. I have'nt used the voucher yet but got excited about the price. haha.  I just hope they'll offer more promos from other companies, or better yet vacations or family getaway promos.  Would love to avail those, be it in the philippines, Branson vacations or any other place.

Click on the links above and see for yourself. :)

The one with almost five

I was reading one of my  favorite blogs and he posted an entry about their weekend getaway in batangas.  I did'nt know batangas has really nice resorts now and i tried to surf the resort they stayed in and others he mentioned and thought to myself, "why this will be a nice way to celebrate our anniversary"

Yes, december 22, 2010 marks our 5th anniversary. can you believe how time flies so fast. as in i still could'nt believe that almost five years have gone by.  :)  The resorts i checked are really, really nice. (haha, change topic agad) Acuatico resort in San Juan, Batangas really left a good impression.  I got interested with the place. As in it's perfect for a family getaway, a good place with a nice pool and beach...even more perfect for renewal of vows! It would'nt be much like Orlando vacations i'd read about but it will be as memorable as well. :)

I showed it to my sister in law last night (yes, she got to know about my idea first than my husband...oh come to think of it, i havent told it to him yet. hahaha) and she was loved it too! For proofs of what i'm talking about, I got some pics from my favorite blog.  hope we can go here soon! :)

On second thought, will it be a good time to go there in december??? hmm...

The one with finally getting one

He finally got it. His new baby. Although it's not the latest model, he's happy he got one...finally...

My husband, whenever he's up to something, i'd definitely feel his desire need. haha. When he started doing some reserch about iphones and when i noticed how much he spends time surfing the net about user reviews or taking a peek of its prices on his favorite online store, I know that it would'nt be long before he finally decides to buy one. I never deprived him of anything. I guess he knew from the start what his limitations are and that's what's good about him. And we also have the same principle of "upgrading on a minimum", meaning selling what you have currently so you would'nt have to splurge so much or cash out a chunk of money to upgrade your tech needs. ;) So when we offered his Samsung to me, i knew that this is it. hahaha. and days after, he bought it.

Enjoy your gadget beh. :)

The one with 59 years

When children are asked who do they love the most, i think about 90% would answer their moms. And the same is true as to how i feel about my mother. although my love for my husband is on a different level, my love for my mom is at its highest. She may not probably feel it the way she should but she knows that we all love her. While I was growing up, I've always made a way to strangle with my mom, literally and figuratively. I think it's because we're so much alike that up to now, when we have our differences, i just stop and rethink before i answer her back knowing that we clash because we are so alike. :)

I love how my mom was so hands on with us. She was a working mom but she managed to tutor us and help us with our assignments. We did'nt have a maid since high school and she's the only one preparing all our "baons" (meals) and our uniforms before she prepared hers. She was always there, always have been. :) I miss the times before when she would take me shopping after examination week, and buys me clothes as reward for my hard work. We were movie buddies. We love to watch and eat out after. We used to have regular dates and girls night out. It all changed though when i got married and all my time were focused on my own family. I know she missed those times too.

So when we went out for dinner for her 59th birthday, it was just so fun being together again with my whole family, just luaghing at each other's corny jokes (usually the corny ones come from my dad), eat to our heart's content and just have a really good time. My kuya (elder brother) gave her lots of gifts. It was like a kitchen showcase -- a pricey knife set, a blender for mom's green juice and a whistling kettle. haha, told you it's like a kitchen showcase. I, on the other hand, did'nt know what to buy for her. I wanted to buy her shoes, not like those algeria shoes (would'nt fit her age, ahehe) but did'nt exactly know what her size is now. I also considered buying a bag for her but i found out she has'nt even used the one i bought for her last christmas. she said she's saving it for a more formal occasion. harhar. So i ended up paying most of the bill that came out from Red Crab, which by the way, is sooooo yummy!!! i love the food there!

Happy bday mommy! Pictures to follow!

The one with movie review -- Extraordinary Measures

Rating: 5 stars

It's been a while since i posted a movie review. I love this movie.  I love Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford so much.  Brendan's acting was just so believable.  How he cried, especially the scene when he found out that his kids will not be given enzymes for the clinical testings.  I cried like a well.  My eyes were swollen when i woke up this morning.

"From his working class roots, John Crowley has finally begun to taste success in corporate America. Supported by his beautiful wife Aileen and their three children, John is on the fast track. But just as his career is taking off, Crowley walks away from it all when his two youngest children, Megan and Patrick, are diagnosed with a fatal disease. With Aileen by his side, harnessing all of his skill and determination, Crowley teams up with a brilliant, but unappreciated and unconventional scientist, Dr. Robert Stonehill. Together they form a bio-tech company focused on developing a life-saving drug. One driven to prove himself and his theories, the other by a chance to save his children, this unlikely alliance eventually develops into mutual respect as they battle the medical and business establishments in a fight against the system and time. But, at the last minute, when it appears that a solution has been found, the relationship between the two men faces a final test - the outcome of which will affect the fate of John's children." (Yahoo, News)

If I must say though, it was unusual for me to watch Harrison Ford as a doctor, moreso, a biochemist.  He was convincing enough with all the terms he used discussing about pompe disease, terms he used like glucosamine chondroitin msm and other medical terms made him like a dork, haha.  I guess I was just used to watching him as Indiana Jones.

While watching it, I was praying that Crowley's kids will survive.  It's very moving how optimistic they were about their situation and showed that their lives are faith in flesh.  He gave up everything to save his children.  After watching it, I began to think that I should be more grateful that God gave us a healthy kid.  That I would'nt have to worry about her turning nine (Pompe kids were believed to have a life span of nine years) and that i need to think about these things whenever i'am at my wits end trying to make simone obey me or trying to make her stop from being so restless.

A lot of things to ponder...watch it. :)

The one with another follower

I've always loved her blog.  Whenever i visit it, i'd always end up admiring her passion on the things she loves to write about...fashion, BAGS, and what's hot.  She's very passionate as a writer, giving every reader  a piece of her mind.  And after reading her blog, bags are leveled up to its highest definition :)  And so yes, I'm a follower.  I'm an avid fan.  I don't collect designer bags but i love her passion for it, and it's becoming contagious. yikes!

I saw her blog popular in web directories and thought to myself if she'll ever run out of things to say about bags? Apparently, never. haha. Want to know what i'm talking about...visit her at http://thebaghagdiaries.com

Happy reading!

The one with shopping starts early

Every year, I promise myself that I'd shop a little earlier than anybody else to avoid the christmas rush. It took me about two christmas seasons to finally get the hang of early christmas shopping. hahaha. I was so miserable before, i'd buy gifts like two weeks before christmas and everybody's in a rush already. waah. Now, i've scheduled doing a partial shopping with achie next week. She always wants to go with me everytime i shop. haha. As in bringing all the shopping bags and walking around are things she look forward to when we go out. But whenever we shop together, i don't buy gifts for them. It's so hard to buy gifts for family. I always find myself looking for xmas gift ideas for mom, or what things dads love. Always, always, mind-boggling. hehe

This year is also different as we have assigned a specific budget for our godchildren. The list keeps on going and we'd be drained if we buy them all their "luhos" (vanity items). hahaha.

Merry Christmas everyone!!! Happy shopping!

The one with it doesn't fit

Haha, for weeks, we've been on the lookout of what gown to buy for Kookie's wedding.  And honestly, i want to get it over and done with as it's painstakingly hard to try out gowns and look at yourself in the mirror thinking that i have bulges all around. bwahaha. so when sta. lucia had a sale, i saw this nice beaded fuchsia gown and tried to fit it.  when i did, i could'nt close it on the bust area. hahaha. it was a perfect fit to waist and down but i just could'nt close it.  You know what i still did? I bought it. At least i'd be pressured enough to lose weight and hope that i could eat all the hoodia i could.

But what if it does'nt work...my mom in law is a seamstress, i'm sure she can do the magic. *wink*

The one with a peek

If you read my last post about faith in highest form, yesterday, we dropped by there and took a peek of what it would look like, aka the model house. yes last month, we reserved for our OWN house and lot. GOD is really, really good!  It was the same feeling as when we bought our first brand new car.  And the same feeling when i resigned from the corporate world.  The feeling of excitement that God has taken you to another level of Him manifesting in our lives, relief that you are entrusting everything to Him.  But i won't lie, there was also this tiny fear of a huge responsibility ahead, not knowing what lies ahead.  But you know what, that's what God loves.  He loves to see how we respond to these things and loves that we hold our future in His hands. :)

So when we went there yesterday, the model house is almost done.  So we're so happy that soon, we'll have something like that too :) yipee! thank you Lord!

Now we're making a piggy bank for "The Tan's house" just so we could add it to our account intended for the house.  The purpose of this is that when we have change or when we want to buy junk food, we will always be reminded to put these in the piggy bank and save. haha,  i hope this will turn out to be one of the best weight loss products invented. :)

More stories to come! :)

The one with weekend sale

Almost all of the malls have weekend sales! as in! so tempting to go out and look for the best buys but ever since i became a work-at-home mom, i've always preferred weekday malling. In fact, our familu day falls on a monday, where everyone else is busy going back to work. haha.

And what better way to perfectly time a sale with your christmas bonus. hahaha. i used to enjoy a 3.5month bonus before but i got used to not getting any and just enjoy what my husband gets. haha. nakiki-join na lang. :) he texted me that he got half of it already and then came a line...iphone??? or xbox 360? or ipad? and to which i replied with a "what's that again???!!!" hahaha. every year, there has always got to be a new gadget for him. i wonder what it will be this year.

Merry Christmas everyone and have a safe and fun shopping weekend!!! :)

The one with bargains

I so love bargains. It makes me always feel like I spend my money wisely (or most of the time, my husband's money -- hahaha) and when one n@wie shared a link for cash cash pinoy site, i was so intrigued.  And true enough, i visited the site and found really nice deals. They have deals that they only offer on the day itself, like the first one i bought was a 50% off spa at Verdance Salon in Rockwell. I really thought this is a good deal.  Sometimes, they offer products on sale too. Like showcasing the best acne product, or 30% off on certain items. But the bottomline is you get to save really or they just make me think i was able to save??? harhar.

check the site here: http://www.cashcashpinoy.com/referme.php?c=1df1bef8-c97e-1ed7-eebe-ad78b2052be4 and join so i'd have P100 for your first purchase. hahaha, of course there's a catch! bwahaha

The one with Sideshow

God is good that He allowed Simon to join a christian band and that his first album is a christian album.  Introducing, Sideshow... a group of musicians whose mission is to share God's word through music. Please like their Fan page on facebook.

Albums are already out at P250.00 only! Let me know if you want a copy. They have a series of tours lined up as well, feels like you'd need a miami car rental due to the long distances of the tours. But i'm sure Simon is having so much fun. :)

Keep it up for the Lord! :)

The one with Compuserve, not to serve

I just want to rant.

My HP mini's hinges were broken so we  went to compuserve to get it fixed as they are the store recommended by HP itself.  I brought it last September 22. Upon receiving the item, the guy told us that it will only take us about 3 days to wait until we know the problem and what they will do with it and then if it's just the hinge problem only, we'd wait a maximum of one week. then we're ok with it.

Three days passed by and no one was calling me so i called only to find out that they have'nt opened the unit yet or inspected it.  I waited for another week and still no progress, it's the same condition as to how we left it there.  And then came another week. It's almost three weeks when we decided to just pull out the item and we did'nt pay anything.  I was so upset over the phone when i talked to a lady and told her "Dean shoould'nt have told us about waiting for 3 days" and then the super sarcastic girl replied "Ah si dean po yun, ako po hindi ko po sinasabi yun sa clients". and i went "i dont care about what you do, i'm talking about compuserve as a whole. kung di pala marunong si dean, fire him." that's how mad i was.  I felt like all my blood was rushing to my head and my fats were boiling, it will be like those quick weight loss pills in action. hahaha.

We pulled it out last night, October 4 and nothing as in nada was done on it. i wasted 3 weeks on that store. So i had to look for another shop and found SST shop. they told us about the 3 days repair period again and i specifically told them to be sure about the 3 days or else. hahaha. I can't afford not to have my PC with me  as it is the only thing i use for partyboosters. i feel so helpless without it.  now im thinking of buying one. hehe.

So there, i therefore conclude, Compuserve, NO SERVE.

The one with simone's funny answers

Simone is 3 years old and 8 months. She's very smart that she answers like an adult, it would make you laugh.

Scene 1: (daddy and simone together, simone did'nt listen to daddy)
Daddy:  Simone, if you don't do that, daddy will not buy you a toy anymore.
Simone: Eh di si mommy na lang! ("oh and then mommy will buy one")

Scene 2: (mommy and simone together in a mall)
Simone: Mommy, gusto ko yan. please buy.
Mommy: No. we don't have budget for that, wala ka naman money e.
Simone: Meron ako money (I have money)
Mommy: Where?
Simone: Dyan sa wallet mo. (In your wallet)

Scene 3: (achie and simone together in the church and achie introduced her to a fellow pianist)
Achie: that's tito joel, he knows how to play piano too like daddy.
Simone: Mas magaling daddy ko dyan. ("My dad's better than him")

Kids really say the craziest things... hahaha...

The one with wise spender

I'm a huge fan of Sales, promos and discounts! I love the fact that they make me think I get the most out of them even if i know they'd still earn despite the big chunk of discount (haha, otherwise they'd call it charity work too)

And these are some of the events i'm so looking forward this weekend.  Should I spend our grocery money to be able to buy from one of here, it will be more like a weight loss product for me. hahaha.

There's another sale on October 8 and this is one event i'm so excited about. It's the Guess, Mossimo sale hosted by my friend in n@w, Ting. :) sooo excited!

For a change, let's start the christmas shopping early :)

The one with beauty time

It was a blessing in disguise.

My laptop broke down (well, the case stuck up so i can't open it fully, i had to transfer some files while it was a quarter opened. haha) and i can't do much so i had to do everything manually.  I arranged my deposit slip files according to names, I cleaned my bag and disposed receipts and other trash. All these while i was at starbucks.  It was a good downtime for my internet world and a good quality time for my decluttering. haha.

I had some free time (yes, simone was at her lola's so i had an alone time) and my husband texted me "sulitin mo na yung oras na di ka makaka-computer, magpaparlor ka, facial etc" (make the most out of your free time, go to a parlor or have a facial") and so i did. My last facial was the date only god knows when. haha. And i can tell from the hands of the one who did my face that she got tired having to remove all the dirt.  It was actually a diamond peel with facial. hihi.  I brought a book when i went to the mall and good thing i did. I was able to catch up on my reading albeit it was still a business-related one.  I purchased this "blogging for business" book and although it's a little basic, at least i learned a few good tips about blogging. :)

The following day was my usual meeting day. I scheduled two meetings that day but the other postponed so i had again some free time to myself.  This time, i went to a nail salon. I pampered my nails and gave a second manicure in a span of a month. weeh! this is a first! :) i dont know, lately, im just being conscious about how i look and trying to figure out how i'd best look or at least exert an effort to stay decent. bwahaha.  i browsed some magazines and was able to get a hold of a cosmopolitan mag.  it was refreshing to know that the mag has changed its format and they now give really useful information for teens and for moms as well.  I finished reading an article about a pill and how diet pill side effects has its own positive and negative ones.  The article was suggesting a lot of brands women can try out but i don't think i'll be ever ready to take one. :)

So happy had a good "me" time! hope this will turn out to be a regular thing :)

The one with she's getting hitched

I feel like 2010 just passed me by...literally and figuratively...

And this last quarter, we're up for more busy days.  Kookie's getting married in december and we just realized that it's nearing when i spontaneously bought a wedding magazine. haha. it's been years since i got a hold of one but preparing for weddings or just attending one will always be a happy time for me. (sucker!)

So I browsed the magazine and came up with new ideas for kookie and jayson's wedding.  I wanted to do so many things, things that i was'nt able to do on our wedding (since we were so on a budget back then) I'm in charge of the venue styling which gives me delight and pressure at the same time. I have to make this one my baby project.  Swags and draping concept is done, stage backdrop not yet and ceremony decors. I have yet to plan the table centerpieces so it would go nicely with the set-up of the caterer.

We don't have gowns yet. yikes! My sisters in law went to do some gown-hunting and found some nice ones but little did they realize that our motiff is just so hard to find.  We only alloted a specific budget for the gowns, wish we'd be successful with finding one. My body clock is telling me i gained weight again.  the reason why i'm not looking for gowns as of the moment.  haha. I'd have to check other ways to lose weight as the acai reviews i read did'nt work.  Or was it me who did'nt try it at all?! nyahaha.

We're onto the last quarter of the wedding preps...here we go again! :)

The one with government delay

I overlooked the expiration date of my driver's license.  I thought it will be due next year, so i didnt bother looking at it last august.  I thought wrong.  My license expired and i was driving for over a month with an expired license. waah! So instead of the convenient renewal offices in the mall, i had to go to an LTO office.  I underestimated the time i alloted for the renewal. Man, it took me a total of 8 hours to renew my license. i had to go back to the office as i can't stand the long line.  The following day I decided to go there early so i'd be first.  Little did i know that about 50 people were all thinking the same thing. hahaha. It was my first time in Binangonan LTO office and i will not renew in that office anymore. haha. All transactions in relation to transportation are all there, even car insurance quote. waah!

But at least i was able to renew my license.  No wonder no one looks good in a driver's license. hahaha.

The one with she's well

September came like a breeze.  two weeks to go and it's October.  CHRISTMAS!!! It was a little tiring because all of us in the house got sick and i was so occupied with taking care of simone and everything else.  I was so worried for her that I was on a 24/7 lookout for her, I'd pass on a health care job site if i send a resume. haha. But now all is better.  She's so well now, she gained weight as in and she's very, very madaldal.  She talks non-stop. hahaha.

And as one proud mama, I'm happy to announce that Simone aced her first exams in Jr. Kinder! whoa! I chanced upon their principal and she asked me about simone (this was when she was still recovering) and I was honest to tell her that i'm not sure if we'd send her back to school again.  And the principal reported her scores and that she's Top 1 in the exams, that it would be a waste not to send her back to school. I got really excited. hahaha.  We don't want to pressure simone about schooling.  I don't even want to review her because I know she's just three.  But it's just amazing how the exam results turned out. :)

So now, we're trying to see if she wants to go back to school. Good job simone! Mommy and Daddy love you! Oh and as prizes, her tita jane and achie gave her new toys. thank you titas!

The one with faith in highest form

I literally got goose bumps.

This is IT! I know God has really good plans for us and I know that He will provide for everything.  It was almost the same feeling when we had Vin.  We did'nt know at all how we'd be able to cope up but God made sure everything will be just fine.  And it really is. :)

And now taking another leap of faith is exciting and frightening at the same time.  You literally do'nt have the hold of the future, all you know is that you offered it to God and that you trust that God will help you find your way.  So yes, it is exciting how God will work on this.

Hahaha...I'm sure while reading this, you're like "So what is it?!"  You'll find out really soon!!!

The one with thinking of ways

After i had my 3rd uti in 4 months, I talked to Simon about things how we could unload for Partyboosters and delegate some tasks so i could at least breathe more.  My good friend, Jill, suggested me to have a driver.  At first, i was "is'nt that for the elite and the super rich people?" but she had really good points.  I noticed that during days that i have events, I drive like crazy going back and forth to places and on top of that, i had to text or make calls while im on my way.  I would'nt feel the stress at that moment because of my adrenaline rush but yes, it is stressful.

So i got Kuya Zaldo to try and see if things will be better with a driver.  and whew, it really is! I got him as my on-call driver since i don't go out everyday.  but for weekends, i'll surely need a driver.  Kuya Zaldo is one of my balloon artists too but since he is disabled, there are some things that i can't ask him to do so i chose other artists over him but when it comes to driving, he's the man!  He recently claimed his disability insurance that's why he's very eager to work more now. hehe.

I also got achie to help me with partyboosters, making her my industrial partner.  we had a meeting yesterday and i think it's very productive.

Thank you Lord for giving us more ways for Partyboosters to expand :) Better slow but surely :)

The one with bag itch

I'm itching for it again...
I stopped craving for it when i realized that i may never really need one.
But here i'am...itching for the same thing. haha

I even messaged a good friend of mine and asked her if she'd go to paris anytime soon. haha. talk about desperation. She told me that she went to paris but did'nt even think of going inside as she knew it was really pricey for her. It's even more expensive than Prada shoes. I could'nt believe it but i still want one.

I need to pray for this. Or if someone is very kind enough to give me one, i'd gladly accept it. hahaha

The one with if only i could

Being a mother, I can only ask the best for my daughter.  I'd give up everything for her.  I'd do anything to make her life better.  But these aspirations are tested when times of trials come.  Simone got really sick.  She caught pneumonia and what they call "tigdas hangin" all at the same time.  I could'nt imagine what i would do at that time.  I blamed myself for not being a good mom, I blamed myself for the things that i wished i should have done, things i should have thought of.  The minute i saw the rashes on her tummy i cried like a well.  Simone saw me and she cried too.  She hugged me and kept saying "mommy, sorry ha".  Simon was there hugging me asking me to stop coz simone was crying already.  At that time, i felt a failure.  I thought my being a sahm/wahm would be equivalent to being more effective as a mom, that i did'nt allow any room for mistakes, any chance for error because i have all the resources, the time and the luxury to be the mom i wanted to be for simone.  But God is saying, "To be a good parent, you need to entrust to Me your family.  You can't handle things on your own.  You can't take all the load because it will take a toll on you"

When we rushed her to the hospital, she did'nt have any fever at all.  The rashes just bothered me.  But the doctors had to take some blood to rule out dengue.  She was crying so loud at the sight of the needle, was trying to cover her face so she won't see.  And i hugged her and kept telling her that mommy's just here.  Yes, i was there but i felt so helpless.  I felt her pain and that i could'nt do anything to ease it up. After that, we headed back to the car and waited until the results of the tests. I did'nt want to stay in the hospital longer.  For the two hours we were at the car, I kept on praying to God to please spare my daughter and protect her from any sickness.  I know God listened.  I could'nt find the courage to get the results so i asked my husband to get it for me.  After a while, he texted me with good news that simone's platelets are very normal and that everything is viral. praise God! they even did the ns1 test for dengue and it showed negative results too which made us really happy.  I was so tired that night.

Thank you Lord for healing simone.

The one with late sleeper

I sleep late. as in 12midnight is early for me.  I guess that's how it really is when you're a mom. Being a mom is directly proportional with lack of sleep. haha. I sleep at around 1am or 2pm and wake up at 830am or earlier. but for the past weeks. i tried to change my lifestyle a bit and have an earlier nightcap. (11pm is my earliest)  It was hard at first because i'd wake up at 4am or 5am and could'nt get back to sleep as much as i've wanted to.  This went on for days and i had eyebags and zits, thought i'd go look for best acne treatments again.  but thank God, i pretty much adjusted after almost a week of waking up early. :)  I needed to at least have 7 hours of sleep. yes, it's not too late to observe healthier sleeping habits :) I just hope i'd be able to maintain this one. :)

The one with starting up again

So we've finally set up our site, http://stylefetish.multiply.com and we want to really make this business grow.  Starting up again, is challenging.  I remember back then, when i started partyboosters and i'm already happy having one party every weekend. hahaha. and now, i have to control the number of parties that come in every weekend. God is really good! So this online clothes shop, i hope will be like that too.  It may not be as big as other rocawear sites i saw but i hope it will get somewhere. hehe ;)

The one with rod discipline

For weeks, i've been thinking about the challenges of how to discipline our kiddo.  And i mean, how not to be a brat.  She's not a brat per se but the worry that she might be and the signs leading to it sometimes manifest.  I tried spanking simone on her hand if she did something wrong.  She would cry louder and would shout at me and hit me back.  It pains me that after hitting her, im not even sure if it worked.  I would talk to her after and tell her the reason why i had to spank her.  I think she understood, just a matter of she wanted to obey i guess.

Like last week, we went to her ninang's house and she asked if she could draw. she got a pentel pen and wrote on paper but the inks left some on their couch and i think some on the plastic knobs of their drawers. yikes. i told her to use other pens but she did'nt obey so i had to talk to her alone and told her it's not good. she cried again.  and then when we were in the car, you know what she told me. "sorry mommy" and i hugged her tight. i said, "thats ok baby. mommy loves you kaya im saying all these things"

And you know that yes, it is working. :)

The one with writer wanna be

I chanced upon this blog entry from one of my favorite blogs, and I got curious to know who's famous writer i write "similar" with.  I tried pasting a a post i made last year about being mother and stuff and here's what appeared:

I write like
James Joyce
I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

The one with stressful week

I had such a busy and stressful week.  My last weekend was packed with 7 parties and prior to that, Simone got sick.  She caught flu and fever for two days.  Lack of sleep is the result of everything. I had to be up for Simone, i felt really tired.  Sometimes there were times to keep me awake in the middle of the night, i had to watch the Home tv shopping episodes because it's the only one left showing on tv.  (i watched a pronexin tv ad and it's amazing by the way.)

When I checked last night, i think my thing is back so i have to drink my supplements again and have to drink more buko. whew. but praise God that everything's better.

The one with obvious changes

I started taking my medication pills three weeks ago and my OB-gyne mentioned that since it's a planning pill too, there are effects that might take in place while im under medication.  Im not used to drinking medication, so she gave me a heads up about the water retention, the mood swings (err) and some breakouts if my skin will have to adjust to it too.  Good thing i did'nt have to buy those acne vitamins since i did'nt have any breakout at all. But the water retention is showing some signs already.  I also feel thirsty always and in the "mood" to eat. haha. i dont think it's the pills taking effect. (might be myself alone who'd like to eat)

The one with new venture

My friends and I started an online clothes shop.  It's called Style Fetish. you can view it at http://stylefetish.multiply.com.  We wanted for the longest time to start a business that we own and albeit this is such a small investment, i know we'll enjoy it coz it's something that we share with each other.

We all shared with the tasks and I helped with putting up the site.  I inserted an order form where all they have to do is click here and there and voila, their order will be received and processed already.

Please visit our site and check out our items. Happy shopping!

The one with homemade treatment

When Typhoon Basyang hit the country last week, i was so scared of the wind.  I was'nt able to sleep the whole night becauseof the wind and i was making simone comfortable in her sleep.  So after several sleepless nights, i got acne.  I had to resolve to homemade treatment as i was hesitant to try ointments and other medication.  Our neighbor gave us a bag of avocados that fell from their tree and since it was a lot, i tried it as a homemade remedy for my acne...and it worked! It dried up instantly and healed in a couple of days.

You should go and try it too :)

The one with new hairdo

I've been checking a couple of salons for my new hairdo.  I wanted to cut it short.  I think it's one way of hair loss prevention but i fear that since im on my heavy form now, my face would look more round.  I wanted to go with the wave curls but since i just had a rebond treatment last year, they don't want to touch my hair and do big locks or else my hair will get dry.

I also wanted to have bangs.  hahaha. as in full bangs ha. i always thought that if it does'nt go well with me, i can always sway-side my hair. hahaha. i might look like my daughter more if i have the bangs.

What do you think?

The one with the scrimper

Becoming a mother means having to spend less for yourself and more for your family.  Like when it comes to shopping, it's always easier for me to buy stuff for my kid and for my husband and think-a-hundred-times for myself. haha.

So when achie and i went shopping weeks ago, we passed by a store named Forever21.  Apparently, it has relaunched itself and has really nice products.  What i cannot take in was the fact that girls were "panicky" choosing what to buy and they're not even on sale.  Promise, I saw three girls before me on the line and the receipt printer always showed a 5k average shopping amount. I could'nt take it in and could'nt believe a lot of stuff like how amazing the marketing strategy of Forever 21; how old i'am im not even their target market anymore; and how i scrimp to buy things i only ended up buying a belt for myself. hahaha.

But i guess i'm at the age where my guiltless shopping days are over and i'm at the stage where i choose to spend money a little more wisely ;) (but a once-in-a-while shopping is not so bad)

The one with gadget shopping

My husband would drool for this...i swear.

I had a great time meeting a client yesterday.  She's more of a client to me as we belong to the same e-group and are blogmates too.  I had fun, i felt we talked about other things more than her son's party. hahaha.  They're based overseas and she shared how cheap the gadgets are in Dubai. and i got really excited i wanted to order. hahaha. Imagine, an LCD TV comes free when you buy a Blackberry. whoa! super great deal!

I want to live there! hahaha. it was nice seeing you grace :) see you again on dade's party :)

The one with why i think she should

I've always been open about how i've always wanted to be a model. haha, as in ramp model or i think anything to do with fashion. :) and since i was not blessed with skinny legs and more height, i never actually put the dream into its slightest peek of reality. ahehe.

But you see, my daughter has it. she may not be like trudis liit (who by the way is sooo adorable) but i know she can pull this off. she's very comfortable with the camera and she follows instructions like any model does. here are her recent pics from a party i organized and attended :)

of course we're in matching outfits...hehe

i love you simone! you're growing up so fast anak.

The one with first day of school

Well, i don't want to bore you with not-so-happy moments or how i'm failing to take my weight loss supplements here, so i decided to post about how simone is enjoying here schooling.

I thought I'd homeschool her until she's six or seven.  But putting her to a school had it own pros and cons too.  For one, she's with classmates her own age. ahehe. when at home, i'm her only playmate and i know we enjoy each other's company, but i also wish she'd be with kids her own age too.  I also like the school's curriculum as it is non-traditional in approach.  They're a developmental/progressive school and i like it so far.

So before i post her first day of school, let me just give you a heads up that the next posts, i would bore you with how doting mother i am. hahaha.

i have fever here but i still made sure that i'll be present on her first day.

popsie was there too! sentimental kasi to e. hehe

daddy with simone
here's simone with her classmates.  there are two classes in jr. kinder (oh did i just say she was accelerated from nursery to jr. kinder?!) and after a month of schooling, some of the kids have been re-shuffled to determine what class they will fit more into. :)

Simone had an adjustment phase with the "separation" thing.  And this will be triggered during the quiet time/sleeping time.  she did'nt like that so during the parent orientation, i told the teacher to just give her activity sheets since she really loves to busy herself until she gets accustomed with the routine :) and two weeks later, we can now leave her at school. im soo happy, im the one who needs the letting go thing. :)

The one with diagnosis

I have a cyst.

Well, before anyone becomes emotional about this, im staying positive and hopeful that God is in control and above this condition.  And I know that He has a greater plan why everything happens.

I had to go to the doctor because of severe UTI.  The doctor had to find the cause since i was on my second batch of antibiotics already and it's still there.  The doctor asked that i undergo an ultrasound.  My kidney ultrasound was clear.  So next step was my ovaries.  They found the cyst on my right ovary, sizing about 5.1cm.  The surgical size is 6cm so i'm on my borderline size.  Moreover, i'am polycystic on my left ovary.  The doctor told me that it's thin-walled so the family planning pills she prescribed me should make it smaller.

I have a bout of mixed emotions.  I thought of a lot of things, things that i should'nt be thinking.  I also know that i should'nt stressed myself with this.  I know a lot of my friends have this.  I guess I could'nt take in the fact that I'm not as healthy as i used to be.  And that i missed being younger and healthier.  I thought with getting older, all i have to think about is how to lose weight and that sooner or later, i would have to resolve to diet pills just so i'd bring back the old bod i used to have. and now, i have this. i forgot all about losing weight and would like to focus on being healthier again.

I know everything has a purpose.  I just have to find it out. :)

The one with cherished moment

We were able to have the chance to stay at a hotel and just unwind and relax for a day.  It was sooo precious and very timely. we were so tired from all our work and deadlines that we have to unwind for a day or we'd go insane. hahaha. here are some pictures.

this is simone in the tub. she super loved this!

we stayed at astoria plaza hotel and we requested for a queen-sized bed. hehe. so we had to put these two beds together ;)

 enjoying our buffet breakfast

dipping again before we checked out. the outdoor pool is better for swimming during daytime, and not so much in the afternoon nor evening because of the wind.

simone is a water baby. look how she loves jumping and "diving"

 daddy and simone

hope we could do this again... hehe...

The one with dreaming again

We were at a wedding the other day and simon suddenly asked me how i will react if ever we'd be able to get a house as early as next year. Just the thought of it made me really, really excited. I know as of the moment we still can't afford a new home but God can work miracles here. :) I also am sure he won't surprise me with one since i know our bank accounts like the back of my hand. hahaha. but it's a good thought where he's at. :)

Honestly, even used motorhomes will be a winner, as long as it's something we can call our own. :)

The one with almost a hit

I was travelling Commonwealth avenue yesterday and a car suddenly appeared to my right. I honked on her and shouter at her. i know i was at the right of way. she was even staring at me because we almost hit each other. i hate it when people curse you and get angry at you feeling that they are right wherein fact they are the ones who made a mistake. in tagalog, "inuunahan ka ng galit" so that people won't notice the wrong you did.

I'm just glad we have auto insurance just in case hit happened. praise God for His protection.

The one with school girl

Haaayyy....we found our school for simone. Finally, we were able to find the right school for her. Simon, i can see, is still a little hesitant about the idea but he has to move on and accept the fact that his daughter is a school girl already.

Kinderville is a developmental/progressive school. They are activity-based and not the traditional way of teaching. I homeschool simone and i still want to be a hands on mom even if she starts schooling already and we've been looking for a progressive/developmental school for quite some time already.

When the owner talked to simone, she noticed that simone grips her crayons like a big girl already and that she knows her basic already. She encouraged us that we enroll her to Jr. Kinder and not nursery. hahaha. my husband has'nt moved on with the nursery idea and now she's telling us about jr. kinder?! hahaha.

But i also thought that simone might get bored with nursery. She already knows her stuff and that she might be underchallenged with the other kids in the room. by the way, the class only gets 10 per class. :)

We will enroll her next week and she starts school on June 16. wohoo! praise God! sooner or later, guys in tuxedos will come over the house to invite her to prom. waaaah!!!

The one with bookworm

I love buying books. not the pricey ones, just the ones that i'd be interested reading. Unfortunately for the books i bought, some of it are still unturned and it pains me that i can't spend the same time with them compared to when i was single and all i do is lock myself in the room and read the whole day. i know i can still do it now and i know some moms who still do. i just can't find the attitude i used to have with books. My list of to read books is piling up. hahaha. Even the magazine i recently bought, so far the topic about online life insurance is the only thing i was able to browse. harharhar.

i really should get into reading again.

The one with family day

For those of you who constantly read this blog, you would know by now that monday is our sacred day. :) And we see to it that we'd spend our day bonding and having that family day, away from our work and everything else. I always look forward to our mondays. When people are busy going back to work, we'd find ourselves still lying in bed and enjoying the stillness of the day. haha.

Just yesterday, we spent our day buying stuff for the house. We bought a washing machine since our old one's spinner broke down and the cost if half of the cost of a new washing machine. I also bought (finally!) a juicer for the house. The juicer is for simone's veggies and fruit purees and for us as well. So excited to use it! I almost bought a table after seeing the contemporary coffee tables in the furniture section. they will really go along with my dream "reading area" in the house but i felt that it's not really an urgent thing so i forego with buying it and bought a shoe organizer instead. hahaha.

I know I'm one of the few who could say this but I just love monday! ;)
